I think the best thing that could happen for Jagex and the main game of Runescape would be to reach the 2nd tier (250K) votes, but not the 500k tier.
We want Jagex to make additional money from these servers without having to reinvest that money back into the servers. That would allow the extra money to go into the main game.
I believe people would be willing to pay an extra $5 for a total of $10 - $12 per month. This is reasonable and I believe that it would attract more players; however, I don't believe that Jagex will make as much money if they are charging an additional $15 a month for a total of $20 - $22 per month. It is ridiculous to think that people would pay that much per month to play a game. Some might, but most will not.
If the monthly subscription to the main game was over $10 a month I would stop playing and Runescape has been part of my life since February 2002.

Everyone saying 'don't do it unless it's the 2009 version' needs to get a grip!
Anything is better than the bs EoC and the 2007 servers will be so much fun I personally cannot wait to get training and questing like the good old days. Reliving my childhood yep.
Jagex lower the vote goal, your current goals are too high...and it won't happen.
You really think people will keep paying 20$+ dollars each month to play? Even if we reach 250k, we'll need to pay like 12$ each month. People will keep paying for the first couple of months but it won't continue.
Jagex, I personly believe the 2 week voting period is too long. If people really wanted something back, they would vote almost immediately. Giving 2 weeks for people to vote gives them the time and opportunity to think of highly dishonest ways to vote, such as creating a botting script that will allow the creation of new accounts and votes. The poll should be 48 hours long; If you really wanted it you should've already voted by now( the wildy vote got 1.4 million votes in less than 48 hours). It is clearly evident that the momentum of the votes is slowing down, which means the bulk of the players that wanted the old servers have already expressed their opinions. Close down the poll in the coming days or you might face the corruption of the validity of the votes.

@ player 35424
The reason the votes have slowed are all the old vets have totally got fed up with Jagex's so called updates and have cancelled their subscriptions and moved on to other games. The 750k goal is most likely unattainable but getting any votes is better than none.
The FTP characters are upset about this being a members only vote but the PTP members are the ones supporting this once great game.
Let us not forget, Jagex will run rigged votes. That is what they have become.
Makes me wonder why i support this game after all.

First you have to be a member....second people that have left the game may not know this poll is available and need time to decide if they want to re-sub to vote. I re-subbed just to vote but I don't think everyone will be willing to do the same at the drop of a hat...so to speak.
Jagex new it wouldn't get past 250k win win situation for them ill pay $10 no way I'm paying $20 to play 2007scape that won't get updated only small maintenance
