Yes I believe the main point of WoW servers was to be able to replay old content at will, bossing and instances as an example so I could understand why the economy would be limited. My interpretation for Runescape would be that by making everyone start afresh on these new servers would act as a balance and economy reset. Would be interesting to see how rares would be introduced if at all?

I do have to hand it to folks who do the coding for these servers as it's an impressive feat but again it does open the world up to abuse as you say. Jagex might have been inclined to introduce these Private Servers at the time but then it does undermine your updates from that point. My question would be 'Why would they think new content was good if they were still hosting old servers?'

Let me know your thoughts.

THOSE updates.... were brought about from incessant WHINING from the players.....

they destroyed the game... and a crappy copy wont change that.

As the same WHINERS brought this about.... it will not be a good thing as they will destroy it with more whining.

I will not vote for this.

I already paid for your pre-launch while you played ILLEGAL private servers.

NO SUPPORT.

I see your point however many of us who go to work/university and have a social life will still play a bit of scape now and then(maybe not as much as when we were younger).

I for one still play about 2-3 hours a day and i'd rather play those 2-3 hours in a game that was at the height of my enjoyment. I'm 20, go to uni and have quite an active social life as well, still doesn't stop me from playing a bit of scape.

I'm sure many will be the same as i am and if not then it seems to me that Runescape isn't the game for them.

Lyndon, I think it's best for the server to have no banks or stats brought over. And really, can't you imagine the fun of racing to the first 99, the first 3rd age item, the first maxed, etc. :P .

I just want to thank you guys for showing some interest in what the players want, and although I am disappointed that I won't be able to play as my actual account, I won't be complaining since we WILL get the old rs back in some form.


If possible, I think that you guys should make it so anyone who had recurring membership before EOC can vote, I cancelled my membership after EOC came out but luckily I still have some time left on it.
