If the poll goes through and 2007er servers are set up, it's only worth it if there is a working, strictly enforced antibot system implemented. Otherwise the "old game" would be as broken and corrupted within short time as the main game is today.
A 2nd Botscape would suite no one.

I dont see the value of dividing the resources available at Jagex to entertain some flight of nostalgia.

lolololololol Flight of nostalgia. NO! this means a lot to a lot of players. when this poll passes (and yes it will) just watch all the players come back. this is the smartest move jagex will ever make.

In my opinion about 2007 server:

I think it's great to add godsword to old runescape but not dungeenering weapon or dragon claws. dungeenering weapon and d claws will breake the game more (they are too powerful) so do not add that.

There is some places like god wars, which is a popular place that many want in old runescape.

I think it's good to add this teleporting stones, resting and mini games as well. because they are very good updates.

So old runescape need actually little new update too, as not destroyin our old runescape.

This is very true.


In my opinion, a rare dropping from a monster, despite lower drop chances, would be absurd. It would lead to monster camping just for these things. Not to mention it would be very far out of nature with how they were once earned.

I guess it is hard to decide on how rares would be distributed, if at all. There are many cons and pros for each method, and that is what is holding us in this stalemate. Which one is better? There's no real method of choosing the best one.

lol why wouldnt you vote for this. If u enjoy the main game just think of this as a 'potentially' free alternative that u can have access to if u want to take a break from the main game.

In response to the notion of "this will split the community"...i ask how?

It will split all of the people who dont enjoy EOC, and have quit because of it. (2007 server)

From the left over Botts / Gold farmers/ Inactive players/ Stupid people/ Players currently still trying to enjoy the main game / and the few people who ligitamitely enjoy the new combat and all of its reworks. (Main Game)

There is no split of the community

I want to happen.. but frankly, it probably won't. I've just accepted that RS is dead to me.

Also, ~$15 a month? Are you kidding me? I'm not playing World of *arcraft prices for 2007 Runescape. As always, I refuse to pay a fee larger than the usual ~$5.

Super stoked for this! Not sure what to expect with a fresh start for everyone...going to be interesting if it works out! I started playing in 2005, and quit in 2010. would for sure re-instate a membership for sometime if this pulls through.

if there is a G.E. just put the same amount of rares there was in 2007 at the same price as they where then selling in G.E. and after a while all rares are bought and they go there normal way again ? :D
