@Haa Haa Jink

Well i understand what you mean..
But..
I have given lots of feedback to rs turning out that they aren't listening at all or simply get ignored. Please do not see me as an Rage quitter because ive done my best.

Basically they won't remove it until they make something else for the gamblers because they are afraid to lose players. Which is pathetic TBH. You are weighting cash over morals.

@ Mod Mmg

After reading this news post, I am glad to see that Jagex have realised some of their faults, such as giving out far too much free exp (I have never seen so many 120 Dungeoneering updates in my life!), and making sgs/sof promotions dominate in terms of added content. Things like free exp weekends truly devalue skills, and I'm not just saying this because I have a completionist cape, its true and everyone knows it, just not everyone is willing to admit it. I was very curious as to how Runescapes' future would pan out, after the negative feedback about eoc. However these changes that you are implementing gives me a sign of hope for Runescape.

Lets hope these changes are implemented, as I would hate to see the game die out.
I've played runescape for 8 years this year, and although it's had its ups and downs, I would hate to see it go.

Good luck,

Shelgon :)

Wow, this news post, I am truly suprised :)

2013 Quests:
- Releasing the crystal city and a quest to unlock it would be absolutely amazing. You could also release elf tasks if you are planning on adding more task areas.

Bots, RWT, Scammers/Cheaters:
- I understand it takes a lot of work and the battle with bots is never ending. Post monthly updates oh some steps you have been taking or just simply say "We are still working on the bot problem." Knowing that you guys are trying really makes players feel better about the game we pay for :)
-Dealing With the scammers and gamblers, you could have mods monitor popular trading areas (such as the grand exchange) and mute anyone who is advertising hot/cold or the flower game. Most of these people scam or pay for ranks in an friends chat, and some players have billions then go sell the gp for real life money.

EoC:
- The Eoc was definitely not ready for a total launch into the game. However, when making changes have a team of j mods monitor the forums. If they see a common occurrence make a thread that says specifically what the problem is and that you are going to fix it. Acknowledging the problem makes people calm down and do something else in-game until the problem is fixed.

Q&A livestreams:
- Yes keep doing this! I really look forward to hearing answers to commonly asked questions.

Runefest:
-Please have a 2013 runefest! I've never been to a runefest but it looks like so much fin and I would definitely go if I was able to. You should make a poll on the homepage where we cam pick the country, then whatever country has the most votes pick a city.

Keep up the great work! ^_^

I read your news post with interest since I purchased the yearly membership and hope very much that I don't regret it.

I suggest that (at least) for 24 hours after an update Jmods peruse the forums gathering feedback. Some people never come to the forum except after updates to find information and talk about issues.

Hey there Molly!

Just a quick note on the point about collecting feedback - I'm very happy to say that we do exactly this for each update already - and not just over an initial 24 hour period. :D

There are several J-Mods (including yours truly) who's job it is to meticulously gather all the main points of feedback from an update, organise the key points into an accessible format and to then report it back to the developers. :)

Our developers are also very frequently engaged in reading over threads relating to their updates, and even when they don't get the opportunity to post, they're taking on board the feedback for future development. For a great recent example, check out the thread about further tweaks to combat HERE .

Dear Jagex,
First off, EOC is wonderful. Balancing may not be perfect yet, but there were plenty of balance issues prior to EOC people seem to have forgotten and keeping the current situation under watch and correcting as necessary is a promising approach. I mean, common, we now have viable combat magic that ISN'T just crowd control. When has that ever happened? I've heard few complaints that don't have to do with balancing, and if I may postulate: it's because the new system is an obvious improvement in every significant way.

I agree with Mark's commentary on more recent SOF/SGS. I've never been a fan of micro-payments in any game, but the type that have been released recently are justifiable as a means to an end in my opinion. You know that the more of a direct in-game advantage micro-payments give the less popular they will be with the established members, and the more likely they will be to harm gameplay. I definitely can think of some MMORPGs that ruined themselves with them, and I'm sure you can too. As of now I believe you've been acting with that consideration in mind, and if you continue to do so you will find that many players feel as I do and won't withdraw their support over it. While we're talking money I should also add that I found the premier club offer very attractive. I do have enough faith in RS that I'm willing to get a year of membership in advance, especially at a lower rate with extra goodies.

For 2013 I'm especially excited for the new skills, **ml5, and the sailing expansion to player owned ports you've been promising. ;) I certainly haven't had enough of RS for a while yet, so rock on and do continue telling us what you're up to. I don't care how long range (or even how realistic) the plans you share are, glimpses behind the scenes and into the developers' minds are quite addicting.

All the best for 2013,
Gianni

@PestLordXian

I understand ur angry and alot of players are like you, players who don't wanna do pvp, and shouldn't be forced to imo.but jagex makes content that req a some pvp and it can be very annoying to deal with those arrogant ppl.

I liked pvp minigames but I never made fun of anyone or mocked them.....I remember doing cwars(I only liked it in 10 vs 10 teams) and stealing creation and when someone asked for me to leave them alone/dont want fight, I did.

thanks for your post :P
