My biggest problems with the game at the moment are the way combat triangle has turned out: It dictates the game. I liked to use one combat style everywhere (ranged mostly). It's now almost impossible, if you don't use their weakness to your advantage your ability to deal damage drops way too much.
The next thing is a minor one, but affects gameplay a lot - hiding interfaces under noticeboard. Talking about quest list mainly. I think it was a lot better to see what's going on around you while checking quests or tasks.
Next, goofy npc's. Please, don't make any future npc's them look like the wizards at wizards tower.
Last but not least - Running style and walking style, especially while in combat. Looks like the character has pooped his pants - I'm serious! xP

I'm going to repeat and extend my post on the third page of this thread, as I find it to be one of the most important aspects of the interaction with the community.

One of Runescape's greatest strengths is the large diversity of players. Your playerbase is literally global and this was recognised up to about 2 years ago. Since then the Dutch community has lost all support and as a direct result this community, one of the largest and most loyal of all, has been decimated.
I've been here for over 8 years and I'm not planning on leaving, so knowing that you have doubled the team is great news to me. But at the same time, I can't help but ask myself why we have lost all of our support if the team has truly been doubled.

I know that managing a community isn't always easy; it requires time, planning and effort. But you (& Customer Support J-Mods) simply need to communicate with us, all of us, even the players who aren't native English speakers. They enjoy and add as much to the game as every other player out there.
We've been struggling for almost two years now and you have received dozens of suggestions and requests for help, big and small. Yet none have been truly answered.

My request to you is simple;
Can you promise to us foreign players that you will increase both communication and support for our communities? It is all we ask for.

@Purniix

"its not fun for you because there are no overpowered weapons that will allow you to beat the tar out of noobs without even trying, you actually need some skill now. "

Ohh so true! It's why *hey come to the agility course, cause they know they'll find un armed players who are just trying to skill. PvP has never been about actual fighting (except at the dual arena but even then people keep trying to sneak in an upper hand) but about gaining quick wealth by exploiting one loop hole or another (be it old lvl 40 def pures or d'haroks over powered set, the holiday item glitch, or any of the others).

question2:
I've heard rumours about 2 new skills... what are these called?

I somehow find that hard to believe, just the same as you quitting. You're just like every other hater.. You complain a lot and talk a lot but you won't just 'quit'.

Back to your other post, you obviously didn't read through this thread and the replies because Mod MMG said that they haven't yet released the full potential of Botany Bay and will do gradually over time. (That's the reason I called you an idiot and said you don't know the facts).

A day late and a dollar short.
A great deal of players had made their feelings well known in the forums and Jagex chose to ignore them and went ahead with horrible updates. All of this talk seems like it is just a way to quiet down the displeased players...only time will tell if any of this will actually occur.
As for me, I canceled my membership last week after about 6 years, out of frustration with all of the "we're Jagex and we will do whatever we please no matter what you say" vibe that has been happening over the last year.

Jagex...stop placating your players and ACTUALLY do something about the colossal mess you have made.

You guys have some very talented writers who say exactly what we want and make us feel much better. Of course you don't lie at all in your posts and it is supposed to feel personal. I'm f2p but this almost makes me want to play again... HOWEVER you cleverly avoided one very heated topic: the removal of EOC. You've said it's a tough change and you're glad that "we've been able to master its system", but nothing was said about the thousands of players who quit because of the new system, not even an apology.

I can only say I'm once again dissapointed, nothing new.

Edit: ^also dutch :)

It's a good message. You just need to deliver now as a team.

I have been saying for a few years that Bots are the biggest risk to Runescape and for that reason they should be tackled at all times strongly. I do get the feeling that has not always occurred, and that sometimes the JaGex team look away for a bit. It almost comes across as you are seeking to always do the spectacular, a big bang, a revolution. Which is not what is always needed. The best work can be that which no one can spot.

The level of rule breaking in Runescape has been getting worse because of the lack of consistent message and action. Without naming anyone I saw a Pmod a little while ago telling a low level new player how easy it was to set up and run bots, and explaining how they won't be caught. The Fmods can also be lost on message and fail to understand the reality of players frustrations, leading to more frustration. The main point I am trying to make is that JaGex needs to be clear on their actions and communication to the community. Letting people speculate on minimum knowledge leads to misinterpretation and frustration, failing to correct that speculation or ease that frustration leads to anger and quitting. All can be solved by excellent communication.
