Come on Jagex, fix this! The only reason you need the SOF and the Solomen's Store is because you lost so many subscribers! (myself included) Maybe if you had listened to the cries of despair on November 20th it wouldn't have gotten this out of hand. I don't know how many millions of times you've been told this, but

LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY!

You need to wake up and realize that nothing about the EOC is moving the game forward. You're just trying to start at the bottom of a genre that already has countless games filled with millions upon millions of players. I personally haven't seen more than 70,000 players on RS at once since the launch of the EOC. Please, for the sake of the game, fix it!

questions for MOD MARK:

1: what are your plans for the 20k+ players that would rather play old rs then this "eoc"??
2:are you going to ignore them?...
3:will there be a seperate non-eoc server for those willing to pay extra?


im not a rocket scientist but... 20k+ players is alot of money... just saying..

i personally dont hate the "eoc" it has its pro's and con's, though i am one who would perfer the older style of gameplay...

I totally agree with you, why can't Runescape compete with Nexon. I mean i've played enough Nexon games to understand that they are a horrible company with a horrible track record with games.
With Nexon games, and i mean ALL Nexon games you have to deal with:
1. ridiculous down times for upgrades at game play hours
2. A serious issue with Hackers, not only the ones that steal your stuff but the ones who actually manage to hack into the coding of the game
3. A completely micro transaction based system of paying for the game , you think the SoF is annoying try the dragon vault or whatever maplestory's sad excuse for a micro transaction store is
4. Ohh yea and lets not forget that Nexon is a South Korean company so all the content that is planned and released 6 months ahead in South Korea so there is no community feedback

Now after i listed all of those horrible facts about Nexon you might be wondering why this even relates Runescape or even why nexon has their player base intact.

The sad truth is that Nexon as a company understands that they shouldn't mess up the fundamentals of their games. People play MapleStory for 2d graphics and cartoon animations. Players love Dragon Nest for the dynamic combat and relatively smooth game play. They wont change it

With the EoC, Jagex has spooked away a good 1/4 of their player base with too many changes too fast and another 1/4 with a combat system that they genuinely tried and don't like. The EoC messed with the fundamentals of runescapes game play and because of that players are quitting runescape left and right.

But here's the thing... Jagex is a better company, they're proven it to us in the past and they have the ability to do it again. They don't necessarily have to take a huge leap backwards and return to 2006 but they have to look at other MMOs, take th best and the worst from the systems that they've created and create a combat system that is uniquely runescape, not a button mashing unbalanced combat syste

Sniper, I am aware of the flaws you have listed and many more concerning Nexon and others as well.

I do keep trying to convey that jagex hasn't cornered this market of lies and bad updates and things like that..

I agree eoc has flaws. I agree it needs their attention and that they went about it all wrong.

They've done this for years though. There have been many times when they could have approached this community in a different way.. and had little (if any) of the backdraft the seem to always see.

The "real" problem isn't the eoc per se, but how they implemented it. Done differently, it could have been a smooth transition into RS3. Sadly, it wasn't. It was their mistake.

I don't agree that they "are" a better company.. in comparison to any others out there. I could agree that they "were", but not now they're not and they don't seem to want to be..

They don't need to take a leap backwards in any way. They can and wil, continue moving forward.. but mark my words.. how they go about that forward motion is what will make or break them.

They currently stand teetering on the edge of success, or absolute disaster.

Personally, I'd like to see them make the right choices in moving forward and with the full implementation of RS3.. I just don't see them making those kinds of choices.

4 DAYS LEFT TO GO OF MEMBERS (HAVENT LOGGED IN SINCE NOVEMBER) As an ex CB 136 and Vet caper, just under 170 hours of gameplay.. sad or glad (not sure) to say I shall never return to any RS site once my members expires...glad I made the last payment 3 months ago and that Jagex are not getting any cash off me anymore for this shambles of a management who let RS fail and so much effort from its players has been wasted by them.

Currently 48k players online!!! I feel sooo sorry to those who paid the whole year membership, Jagex did that because that forces you to have paid for the year and they get all that cash even though the game will only deteriorate as more layers leave and the bots become less as they will not have anyone to sell the gold to
and hence even lower numbers online will show. Sad sad days indeed.

But is there any posibility to make a downloadable application for android devices??
In my opinion not only one player will be grateful.
And there is another thing: Lots of people own smartphones and tablets...
