You know I usually try to stay a bit calmer on the forums, but Jagex, what the hell. You said in this news post that you were going to put less emphasis on Wheel of Fortune and Solomon's General Store promotions from now-and ever since the post I've already seen 4 of them-one so pathetic as to be nothing more than glorified re-colored versions of pre-existing skins in the General Store! You know what-this is a really typical move from certain game developers when their *ans are getting riled by something, Capcom I'd use as an example here. The moment we show annoyance at something you're doing a lot of, you say you're going to re-think how you do it to put us at ease, and then get straight back to doing it.
Jagex, I'd severley advise you watch how you treat your fan-base here, as yours is in a potentially more volatile state than others have been in regards to reacting to the developers in this situation. You've been making a lot of ground-breaking changes to the game recently, which for good or worse your very nostalgia-obsessed fan-base has very much disapproved of them. The last thing you want to do, is this-as saying you're going to pander to something that we don't approve of only to keep doing it is disgusting and a poor business standard. If you want to disrespect your fans, shut up about it-don't say one thing while doing another as it shows no appreciation for us, which is something you don't want to be doing right now. I'm not threatening you-of course I'm not, I'm just giving you a very valid warning of that you could lose a LOT of players if you go down this path, in your situation.
