compared to the people now playing and the people that played before the EOC update is a lot lower... i think we should have an option to play either EOC or how runescape was before the update. just like you can play classic.. i bet a lot of people would come back if we could do that.. i haven't played sense the update and don't intend to.. unless we had some kind option besides eoc

I came to check on the website after being told that Mod Mark himself said he messed up with the EOC update and that it was rushed. Well I saw it and couldn't agree with you more. I've been telling the jagex staff with many of my friends since beta came out and since november 20th. But only after 3 months of a large part of your player base and a mass take over a bots you finally decided to listen. Well Good job on that one. I still refuse to play this game until EOC is revoked or I have a separate server with before EOC content. Haven't logged on since November 3rd and nor will I until that happens. Your little cover up sugar coated BS won't trick me, sorry to tell you. You say you listen to your community, yet completely ignore the masses that don't agree with your stances and opinions. Its just a joke that you say 2013 is in our best interest. But i seem to remember you saying that since 09 when you came to power in the company. As i saw my beautiful name go down inch by inch every week.
Then when you do this live Q&A how about you actually listen and come up with solid evidence not some made up number polls that completely look into your favor.

So to end off my rant I would like to say GL to all players still fighting hard to stomach EOC. JAGEX staff until you release pre-EOC you company will continue to fail. But you will understand in coming months like i've been telling you. Just like i did beta. GL farwell until i get another laugh at reading your misery and how i proved you wrong once again. Not all change is for the better.

classic coke actually had a drug in it that is against the law. Now are you talking about coke with real sugar or coke with high fructose corn syrup? Because I rather take the coke made with real sugar back any day of the week. Not all change is for the better.

I think Jerum is referring to when the Cocacola company changed the recipe to taste more like Pepsi in an attempt to steal Pepsico's share of the cola market (which paled in comparison to Cocacola's market share of the cola market then as now). It was a mistake, as is Jagex's decision to turn Rune$cape into a cheap knock off of WoW, both companies learned that lesson the hard way (Cocacola learned that and converted back and discontinued it's Pepsi knock off, Jagex is still suffering from their ignorance).

To be honest, I don't think MMG is as smart as Cocacola's ceo was nor does he have any real power to change things and the ones with the power, IVP, they don't care, they have already made back their initial investment plus a few million so they don't care.

In my opinion the EOC was the worst runescape update ever...and I do mean ever, I mean they make a minigame called dungeoneering a skill? really? I thought that if they did not realize bringing chaotic weapons into the game had destroyed the runescape economy buy it making the weapons you have to buy almost worthless then they destroy the combat system totally by changing it al together? really, some one had to say OOOPS.... after they realized so many people like me and 20+ of my friends quit playing runescape cause of the EOC update, it totally ruined the game for a lot of us, and still there is no apology for it, cause noone will admit the truth that the EOC combat was a huge error....nuff said

Does anyone else remember the days when you would fight over who got to use the only dial-up computer that your family had in your house to play Runescape?

Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents who got frustrated because they could not reach your parents because you and your siblings took turns on the computer the entire day?

These were the same days when you killed cows and collected the hides to take to al-kharid to sell them to make your first 100k gp.

These were the days when you thought you were the bomb because you finally saved up enough gold pieces to buy a full set of rune trimmed armor just north of the Varrock west bank which you proudly displayed on your character throughout all of Runescape.

The days you blew off your friends and told them you were busy and couldn't hang out, even though all you were really planning on doing was training your account stats on rs all day.

When you swore you would never play rs again because you were scammed for all of your gp because a guy changed his offer in the trading screen from 1000k to 10004, But you came back the next day to start rebuilding.

The days that you worked hard at training your account to become the best pker of the wilderness.

I want that old game that i used to live for back. I do believe that with the idea of offering a duplicate 2006 runescape server alongside a server with the current game content will generate a substantial amount of revenue for Jagex ltd. I along with many rs vets would be more than willing to pay $20/month to have that gaming experience back again.

Now if you have had the patience to read all of this, then I hope you will take a few brief moments to note that you too would be willing to pay for an 06 server to show the HQ of the potential good that can come from a compromise of another Jagex owned server.

Well... I just really wish there was a way for you guys to make a system in which we can choose what Runescape to play.. I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I fell in love with Runescape back in 2008 (when I started playing) and I would say that the graphics and the combat system in those days were very fun. Right after the Hp and the Prayer points changed, I started to realize Runescape was changing a lot. The majority of the players loved the old system, having special attacks and all that good stuff was fun, My proof? Look at the top comment on one of your videos where Mod Mark talks about EOC. Look at it, and see for yourself what the community is trying to tell you, and as many have said. rise the price of membership, even if thats what it takes. but bring back the old armor and the old combat system.
