If there was more than 1% of non dead content(right now it's far less), I would still play...

Factors affecting this involve
(1) more efficient net ways to train, earn more wealth, etc
(2) legitimate gameplay vs buying gold vs cheating others

Anybody with basic understanding of linear algebra can describe value of activities through matrix representation and operations. In fact, even spreadsheets work fine.

ex:
activity x yields this vector (a,b,c,d,e,f,g)
activity y yields this vector (3a, 3b, 3c, d, e, f, g)
activity z yields this vector (0, 0, 0, 3d, 3e, 3f, 3g)

obviously then, I'd rather do y and z rather than x...

why dont you sell some gp to a site and follow the acc u trede whit and then wait till they trade it whit players that buy te gp and ban then

Okay, I've posted here before and I will again. Please look at all the updates Jagex has done from an unbiased perspective.

SGS and SOF are micro transactions that are fueling Jagex's growing development staff and fueling side projects that could become big name content. People say they are all in it for the money but that's not true, they are just trying to get a little extra development going. Not a little extra on the pay check.

The EOC was a way to balance out the combat triangle, which no matter what you say, was completely lop sided. It also removed many kinks in the tier system of weapons. D-claws (LV60 ATK) could take on a God Sword user (LV75 ATK,STR) all for 12 million coins. Before it was all about how pricey your weapon was, the more expensive, the better. Now not so much. Also it gave F2P players the ability to dish out some hardcore damage. Before only members could use the special attack system, now any body can use a kick butt move. It also made it so combat wasn't just clicking around the tabs to eat food, drink a potion, special attack, repeat. Now you need to use variety to win.

However despite all these good things there are some cons to these updates. The only valid point that any anti EOC rager points out is that they never asked for it. But face it, all the haters out there are just max leveled members, which there where not a lot of. I don't see any non members or mid to low level players complaining. It's only the vets who suffer from serious nostalgia. Also some have said the SGS and SOf is a violation of Jegex's own no real world trade rule. But since they make the rules they can also make a few things called exceptions. If you don't know what an exception is then I feel sorry for you.

In all despite all your completely nostalgic based rage Jagex has been doing this game good by ensuring that another generation of scapers will come to light and keep on the scapeing tradtion. I hope you see as I do.

you know what would be a grand idea you should make a another server that is basically the old combat system and update it ever 5 month with some of the update the eoc has.hopefully that will bring back the old veteran players that use to love this game to death.(i am going to be honest at this point i would prefer the old combat system over the new one you are constantly changing.

reasons why i would like the old style over the new one
1 specials.(i know u have passive effects but its just not the same.i had on demand power at my disposal and it was awesome.you could say that's what the threshold/ultimate ability's are but still its not the same and we don't have many for range and magic.)

2 the person who puts more effort in gets the drop(new drop system blow the... other day some random guy ran in with nothing hit my monster first with his bare fists and tried to steal my drop. we have a very lame drop system and i definitely need to do some computer cleaning to speed up my computer but that is irrelevant.)

3 goliath glove wow they were my favorite weapons and now they are gone huge disappointment seeing as how i went through all that work to get them.(now i have fond memories of them its true you don't truly start to miss something till it is gone.)(back when i did it nomad was a challenge and i truly felt it was worth the effort.)(now these gloves aren't even as good as torva it has +2 prayer bonus and a damage bonus and all you have to do to get those glove is buy them.no quests required wow just wow)

4 enchanted Excalibur again something i worked for now no longer good.at first when u made eoc i was ok with this because instead you gave us rejuvenation witch has been nerf and now i truly regret how i don't have that on demand Excalibur heal.

5your skills made u strong before eoc i could 1 punch cow to death now i don't think its possible unless u use a weapon

but yea ran out of writing space feel free to make a before eoc server. :) thumbs up to this ide

from what i hear from player there are servers of your game that are making more money than the actual game....wow i think that the person that creates something should receive credit for the thing they create....why not shut down the sever that is using your games codes or what ever and set up a before eoc server and see how popular it is and you have to be a runescape member to use the before eoc server.i bet you would make alot of old player happy if you did something like this.

personally when you came out with the overpower the people with expensive Armour and completely kill all skill you had at the start of eoc/if you don't have high level weapons your doomed update i started loosing interest in the game.(hmm it was called og blog i think.most of the time its a warning about something going to be nerfed to the point where iron dragons god tanks and they laugh at you while you try to attack them using their weakness.)at the start of evolution of combat i was totally sided with you now that you killed all the skill that to the game with that one update.i feel i would much rather play the old combat system...atm the only thing that is entertaining me is daily challenges and player owned ports.ouch weren't we suppose to have fun with your game.

personally i don't see a problem with making an old before eoc and keeping the 2 servers and slowly updating the old server but give the newer server priority.i think its a good idea.

a couple more reason i liked the before eoc

you could get away with using an weapon to kill a monster it was more stat reliant rather than high level weapons and with a recent update Armour give a offensive bonus...and spamming ability's.

before eoc majority of Armour had a a bonus in combat(strength magic) and now only a few have it i kind of bought bandos for it strength bonus before now i keep it for its lifepoint boost and the fact its non degradable.

from what i hear its far harder for low level player to train at rock crabs.

Being a very old player, I have loads of memories and nostalgia for runescape. I feel that a poll should be posted about creating some 2006 servers for some of the older fans, you could even make it member's only. I fully support micro-transactions as well, but it would be great if they were less in-your-face. Personally I don't like the spam about "get rid of the EoC" because I know that plenty of people enjoy it, but being given the option to play Scape like it was before 2006 would be wonderful. Make a poll about it!
