@Local3 People are so up in arms about EOC because EOC is Jagex's first major overhaul update under new ownership, changing the way we play and utilize combat in RS. Skillbars and quickslots (or whatever) are all well and good for most MMOs but RS is, or was different. Combat prior to EOC suited the style of play to rs, often most flawlessly. It was changed to appeal to the WOW masses, and rs' combat is no more than that of a WOW clone.

In essence, Jagex demolished the foundations (combat) on what runescape was based on. The combat was unique, and there was nothing on the MMO market quite like it.

I have played Runescape for little over 5 years. Sure I do not play everyday but i worked hard to get the skill levels i have now. The fact that their are people out there that cheat using Bots disappoints me. Plus I think it makes me look retardet to be talking to bot thinking thinking its a real character when all i want is a little advice lol. The Grind will never stop!

Justplayinto definitely hit the nail on the head.

I often wonder how this game could of gone had Andrew Gower kept his shares in the company. Insight *tarted to buy into Jagex beginning in late 2005, the "only" person who had more shares than them was Andrew himself.

While I didn't like the way he left the company, I think we should all give him credit for making Runescape possible, for without him and Paul, it would be nonexistent.

Mark Gerhard on the other hand holds no respect from me. He's merely the puppet of a scheme to run this game into the ground until there's no more hope left of recovering.

Big business does this to people. I just wish it didn't have to happen this way.

I finally remembered what I wanted even more than reviving minigames at the same time I was logged into the forums.

Above all else....the thing I want the most in 2013 is.......

(reserved for cool ascii drawing)

Some way to replay quests. I did some quests long ago and forgot all the interesting lore, characters and storylines involved.

In my eyes RuneScape died a long time ago.

I liked the updates back in the days very much. I liked the new graphics, the GE was something that made the game easier. Also the skill like making your own house was fantastic.

Until you guys decided to take away the most important thing for many RuneScapers. First thing, the wilderness and the second thing, trading.

I can't imagen that you guys removed those things. Since that time RuneScape wasn't the same for me. I know for 100% sure that I still played RuneScape if you guys didn't remove the wilderness and trade back then.

The reason that I'm posting in this threath is because of a YouTube video of bringing back the old RuneScape world. So people can decide whether they want to play the new or old RuneScape. RuneScape 2006 was a big success so why don't you guys give it a try?

I know RuneScape has a lot of improvement the last few years, but of all the popular MMO's that I played the last few years this one tops them all of ******** things up.

I tend to roll with the punch, not go straight at it at full force. i try to adapt but THIS IS ********. enough with the updates on Sof and SGS. it is RWT. i think that RS2 should have a server separate from the EoC, SoF, and SGS updates.
