I've lived in runescape long enough. I called it my home all my real problems desolved when I played this game. It was simply the greatest.

"But somewhere along the line you changed, you stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you youre no good, and when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow.... Cowards do that and that aint you!Youre better than that! "

Jagex who made you think your combat system was no good? That was you, you were original and that's why people loved you! I logged on runescape no* 20 2012 and quit. You stopped being you and I didn't like it.

If its our year open up a sever for pre-eoc lovers. Bring back your oldies make us proud to give you our business.

Along with the many, many members that have now quitted scaping, I feel Runescape have changed into something totally different and not what it once was with all these pointless updates (SoF, SGS, EOC..etc).

As a clanner myself, I can say for myself and many others that EOC pretty much killed the wilderness and clan world. If Jagex do actually listen to all of their players, not just the skillers, but also the pkers as well, maybe a majority of us that quitted would still have stayed. Runescape's simple combat system before EOC was what made it unique. The game's uniqueness was what made it different from many other games, and that's what many of us enjoyed. I can say there would have been a few better approaches in reshaping and rebalancing the combat system, but the EOC sure wasn't one of them.

Although it's sad to see a game I once enjoyed playing turn into something totally different, I still have hope that the decisions of Jagex will actually bring the best out of Runescape again.

It was refreshing to read your post MMG.
A good CEO does take blame when things don't work out. You do come across as sincere. I truly hope you are.

We have seen many failed tweeks, changes and updates to the game.
There probably is no point in dwelling on the mistakes of the past.
You have addressed the main game issues in your post.

The weekly changes to the latest huge update (EOC) makes gameplay annoying to say the least. The entire combat system of EOC needs to be reworked. Changes need to reflect the hard work players put into skilling to each level. There are tons of rants in the forums but you do see some good ideas.
You have all the input you need.
Tear it apart and start from scratch if you have too. Don't worry about breaking it, it's already broken.

The game has been drawn and quartered and lately all I see is bandaids being applied.
Set goals for your staff on all these needed fixes. Your staff needs leadership and firm deadlines. When they succeed, reward them. When they fail, make the appropriate changes. Only implement changes to the game when they have been properly tested. New updates should only need a tweak or two, not paralyse players so they can't finish quests and turn the game upside down.

The bottom line is...make sure the development team and all employees of jagex read your post carefully. Let's ensure they share your vision and your promises for this year.

A good CEO will only succeed if the people working for him or her believe in them and are motivated and produce results.
Good luck.
