This is a good idea, but you have to accept the fact that post-eoc Runescape is the real game now, and that Jagex needs to look forward, not backward. I have been playing for five years, so I remember the "glory years." However, I agree with Jagex on the updates over the last 5 years, and I think that making non-eoc worlds would be a step back.

@Yleprincess

Revslaya is right. The comments are just getting old now. The EOC is here to stay. You've made your point. We all get it that you're really enjoying this new game so much that you come back here to complain some more. Just grow up, admit you don't really want to quit and get on with it.

Not that you care about this en of the players, but why does it always seem that your whole goal is to end the reign of pures. You have so much versatility in the game that allows players to make the character really theirs. Why take away that aspect from them? All the changes to level requirements completely ruined the pure community. I wonder how many players you lost because of the changes to exile pures.

@proud afghan learn how to pk in EOC, If you were truely a good pker before then you'll be even better now. however if u just relied on low combat lvl because of low deffense and melee stats then you're probably not gonna do that well.

Personally, I think Jagex has made great improvements in the game. Obviously not everything can be fixed at once, and they have done a great job at making progress. I think one thing that should be changed, is Farming. Farming is a great skill, but I believe it just takes too long to achieve 99. Maybe lower the time it takes for trees and such to grow, or raise the xp? Also, some monsters are too difficult to kill, even with abilities and high levels. Hopefully this can be resolved; as it would make training much easier. I give Jagex a big round of applause for their efforts to improve the game for everyone, and I hope the great work continues!

@ MMG / Staff

After reading through many post and pages once again....it is still clear that many still have not really given the Eoc system a fair chance. Not to mention they still do not give the details in what they do not like about it.

RuneScape is still the only Browser game of its kind and can not be compared to any other MMORPG. Like comparing an apple to a potato.....it is clearly different in many ways.

The main issues needing to be addressed have still remained the same as well.
Bots / gold farmers / Eoc fixes / Instant Gambles

@RC Fusion, If you go back and read some of the post from when Jagex first announced the EOC they stated that they wanted people to see how important the defense skill was and to stop ignoring it and to actually use skill to win fights not a "fake" combat lvl by having low defense. I don't know of any other combat based game were you can not train your defense. Most of them you have no choice because your deffensive skills increase as you get hit. You still have the option to not train defense, you'll just get crushed.

Just some added info,
Def level can remain low just for the basic armor and can prove to be an advantage still. If the players really did give it a solid try , then they would have seen this easy use of not having a high Def.

It is called ..ring of recoil and also prayers. Not to mention the quick use of food and potion to heal quicker then the avg food only heals.
