A main thing that really needs work on are weaknesses and gambling. Bots are of course the main issue, but it feels like clans like "fear one" are just casinos without official buildings. Many monsters have illogical weaknesses and attacks and just because you are not using a monsters weakness doesn't mean you should only be able to hit it 1/10th of the time. Before eoc your strength defense and attack actually mattered.

If this is "our year," then Jagex should bring back the old combat system on some servers. Many players would return to rs and Jagex would make more money. They wouldn't even have to update it. I still fail to see the negatives of doing this

This all sounds like good news to me. I have a couple of comments though.

Why can't gambling be banned period? Changing the tools just leads to other ways of gambling. Some of your big money gains are here as the house usually wins. This means new players can be taken advantage of, and some of them are fairly young people.

As for the EOC, I have a couple of comments. The way I see it now, from slayer tasks I have done, the 'combat triangle' is now heavily weighted toward mage. I am finding it more difficult to level my melee skills now without jus* hitting the good old Fally Guards. Can the monsters we hunt be readjusted some so that there are more of the common ones we can melee to good affect?

Also, the price of new armour is way beyond anything I will ever be able to afford. If my understanding is correct, high level monsters will now require 150 million or more for armour. The only people now, for the most part, that have that kind of money are real world traders that buy gold. I won't so don't see me owning any. This is kind of disappointing. And new players, that play the game like it is supposed to be played will not reach those levels.

Quests: I am all for new quests, but please don't make us go back and do quests we have already completed once. Doing them again is frustrating.

I appreciate your work toward getting rid of the gold farmers and the site spammers. The GE can be a very difficult place to be any more. If gambling were banned as well, it could actually be an enjoyable place to gather again.

One other comment, the Buthrope/Taverly area on the map is totally at odds with the rest of the way Runescape is displayed. Could the icons for the different areas be changed to reflect how the rest of our 'world' is displayed?

One other thing, please work with training P Mods. They seem very ineffective now and from recent events, very untrustworthy. Perhaps they need closer monitoring? Shadesidhe - Deputy Owner of
