I was hoping Jagex would extend an olive branch of some sort like this since it was obvious that, as of a few days ago, reaching the 500k threshold wasn't likely. Thanks for giving this passionate community a chance to grow, Jagex. I'm hopeful these 2 editions of RuneScape can coexist and compliment each other greatly.
To the rebuttals: I view the '07 servers as a possible trojan horse for returning players to enter the live game at some point down the road, increasing the player base. I should also point out that a great number of players are now satisfied that they have a choice of which version of RuneScape to play. Happy players mean greater word of mouth which also helps potentially increase the amount of players. I'd say the only real concern worth mentioning is the possibility of a fragmented community developing. Let's cross that bridge if and when come to it**

I think its cute how the EOC fanboys come in here to try and insult us. I personally have never insulted you so chill out.
PS: If you like the action bar and EOC, maybe you should play a better MMO with far superior graphics. Anybody who's played WoW, SWTOR etc. will tell you that the current jagex combat style is a third rate knockoff.

Great answer! I totally understand if the $5 Membership fee must be added if less people play on the servers. But just the Fact that you CARE (Yes, they do) enought o actually test it. I love EoC and I love 07. Go Jagex (for once) keep up the awesomeness!
