Yeah, I have to admit, while this is nice, it's not the greatest decision. I love the older Runescape as much as anyone right now, but the fact that we'll have to pay more later just bother me. In this sense, no one will want to pay the extra money, therefore causing less people to play than the current amount. I'd recommend thinking through this a little better, in terms of LESS people but more money vs. MANY more people and the same payment amount. If you make people pay more for this even more simple game which is not requiring much technical work afterwards, in comparison to your game you update every week, and dedicate the most time to, then this will feel like a whole money gimmick all over again....

Great update otherwise :)

I'd call this fair, but still somewhat disappointing. For starts, North America isn't even close to March 1st (Its 4pm).

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy there is no additional fees right now but at the same time I find it VERY convenient Jagex that you cut it off at 449000, which is just under what could have been rounded to 500k.

Lets look at the numbers, currently about half of RS players are on old school. And lets say half those who voted are those who came back. thats 200000+ people, times 8 dollars. 2 million bucks a month isn't enough to have a proper development team, server maintenance and what not? The 5 dollar extra fee should be dropped permanently without future consideration. I'm happy you brought the game back, I'm happy I'm not paying extra, but *his is an absolute scam trying to pretend you can't afford more resources. If 2 million dollars isn't enough then what is? Total BS and total money milk of the old timers.

I know you guys probably won't respond to that because its true, none the less you have regained enough respect from me to get a subscription. But stop being greedy and exaggerating 07 operating costs.

Thank you. Remember when people were afraid there wouldn't be 250k votes? I'd say we did pretty well at close to 450k. Alot of credit goes to Jagex, getting the game out early, advertising, etc. We didn't quite get to 500k but if Feb had 31 days we'd have made it :)

I will continue to enjoy both games :)

Great job guys, pretty solid decision making on your part.

I can imagine myself playing at least for a few months more, and maybe even longer if I get some good in game friends.

Thanks for bringing back the old school game, after all these years this game is still a blast.
