really glad you are making sure new players are aware of security measures they can add to their account, and trying to reduce the number of people hacked
however, scamming is still a massive problem
I got scammed, reported the player, and then by chance met the player again on a different world. I asked him to return the stolen property, he refused and denied that he scammed me. I then started saying how low a life he must be to scam 10k and yes, I was rude to him.
He scammed me by asking me to buy 10k spirit shards as he had reached his limit. He asked me to buy at a higher price "to get them instantly" and said he would pay for them. I did, and he then logged off - i then sold the shards at 1gp less per shard than i bought them at and so only lost 10k.
However, I was then muted for seriously offensive behaviour and he wasn't muted (I saw him talking the next day) for scamming.
Does this seem fair? It seems scammers are getting away with scamming, and OK he scammed me 10k which isn't very much to me, but others ask for a lot more and a lot less commonly traded items as shards.
This is also a reason G.E. limits should be removed (or increased to larger amounts), because people often scam through these means. I understand that the G.E. limit means single players can't buy out an entire stock of an item and then sell them at a higher price. And I presume there would be other reasons as well. But they seem to be doing more bad than good
