I don't trust JAG; had too much experience trying to get accounts back from Jagex, and none of them were returned. Best thing to do is just pick your physical environment... if you live on campus at a university, most likely no one there wants your ******** (the other RS players are probably lvl 200 and been playing for 10+ years anyways...and/or they ragequit over EOC).
JAG is a great addition to the game. The only problem with it will occur if you forget your JAG security questions. Upon which event you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Good post. Although this should have replaced Sinkholes at the top of the news feed considering there's a whole banner image dedicated to Sinkholes.

Is this necessary? Any person that plays online games or has even small amount of computer experience should be aware of many issues or problems that could happen already. I understand this has good intentions, but I am not sure if it needs to be on the front page.
Granted this is much better to see on the front than the barrage of Squeal Updates.
I would have my account secure by now but I've still heard no word about resetting my registered email address, and I believe somebody still owns my ******** because I cannot change my ******** without changing my email, and I don't have a back-up email because I did not have one at the time.
For more detail on this, take a look at our security tips page.

It may be a good idea to post little snipits of advice throughout the week right on the homepage. This may help reach the lazy players that might not look things up. Well done participating in gamer safety week!
when using Jagex Account Guardian people remember to write down your questions/answers
and keep in a safe spot like where you keep sin card/pass port/birth certificate stuff you will never lose unless house burns down :p

Well this was a fairly simple and very nice thing for jagex to do. There is a lot of people who do not use all the easy tools to help keep them safe sadly. I always make sure i have every thing that can protect my account enabled and putting everything into your bank before you log out makes it almost impossible to lose your stuff if you have a good pin.
JAG is a amazing tool to protect your self , you just have to make sure you use it carefully , or you can lose you account if you have to use a new computer....always take those security questions seriously.
When i was young , like 7 years ago playing runescape i made a bad choice and my close friend hacked my account who i went to school with ( i had to make a this account to replace it )....so that proves you can never trust any one with your ******** EVER , even if its your clone
