So botwatch for dungeoneering just bans anyone who solos? After they made soloing more appealing with increased xp rates? I know that players have been asking for Jagex to ban more players for botting, but oh my.. that's taking it to a new level lmao.

Jmods can't be bothered with such paltry tasks as bot-spotting. They are too busy adding new content. Much more important (and easier) to keep adding cosmetic items to SGS than to address matters that undermine the game's very existance: namely, bots. People are just going to get fed up. I've never seen so many angry posts regarding bots since EoC made it very nearly impossible for ppl to lvl doing slayer tasks. RuneScape will be as dead as the Dodo bird unless Jagex stops dealing with botting in dribbles and drabs, here and there, now and then. If that means getting Jmods off their cozy chairs and actually into the game doing real-time bot banning, then that's what should be done. Grr. That's the anger speaking. I know the bot makers can create far too many bots in a given span of time for any human intervention to prevail. This is a fun game, I've enjoyed playing it for several years now. It's just a pity that botters diminish *hat enjoyment by a considerable degree. I hope 2013 will bring us some of the bot-banning that we were assured would take place by the end of Sept. 2012. As far as that goes, I wish Jagex wouldn't even bother telling us about banning a few bots (hundreds? HA!!!) once in a while. Please, don't even bother making grand announcements about having banned bots, when anyone who plays still sees bots everywhere they go. It borders upon the pathetic. It's well and good that high lvl botters did get caught. By all means, do make examples of them with perm-bans. Not roll backs, not suspensions: Perm-bans. This might deter those individuals who are tempted to advance their skills in their sleep, but I doubt it tackles the real problem: gold farmers. There, I said it. Ban entire isp's if you must. We all know where most of those are anyway, don't we? "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". Spock, "The Wrath of Khan". As it stands now, RuneScape is being laughed to scorn on the botters' forums. Please change that.

whether or not the you believe that some people who do not bot where banned is irrelevant as you are only a player, all that i or iLovemysewmos friend is asking is for jagex to look at the appeals and if possible what exactly we where doing before the ban and then decide themselves instead of completely relying on a relatively new program.

Interesting.
What if I told you that I can't be bothered to play Runescape, because I am disgusted with all the corruption and lies.
The people making lots of money Irl off of hosting for gambling friend and clan chats.
The number of bots infesting grotworms, ancient green dragons, frost dragons, blue dragons, and green dragons, to name a few........
Posts from Jagex like this one, that make it seem like they are doing more than they are.
And the many overly optimistic people, who fail to see the larger picture of neglect and arrogance by Jagex.
The reason Runescape won't die any time soon is because there will continue to be a steady stream of easily influenced, weak minded 12 year olds whose parents are willing to pay membership.
Jagex turns a lot of live content dead, and ignores dead content without making any attempt whatsoever to liven it.
Trouble Brewing? Barbarian Assault? Great Orb Project? (combat) Stealing Creation?
And lately, Castle Wars?
I find it amusing how the biggest and most recent update focuses on combat, while you continue to ignore minigames and skilling, which bots have ruined by devaluing items to the point where they are worth next to nothing.
You lack the courage to make truly strong stands against bots, largely because they are either infesting near dead content which isn't in the mainstream, or because they pay membership.
By failing to take a stance against bots, and by trying to make Runescape into Bossscape, you just continue to pass up opportunity after opportunity to make Runescape stand out from other MMORPG's... and if Runescape is just seen as "another MMORPG", your days as a company are likely numbered.

So did you deal with the bots just like in 2011 when you did the bot nuke? The bot nuke didn't work. There are more bots then ever. Fix this. I have been playing on and off sine 05 and i have really enjoyed playing but it seems like the bots are getting worse and you say you are fixing it but i do not see it.

To help you fix this problem i think you need to create more player mods. Have the player mods mod a certain part of runescape to make sure everyone is following the rules. This would help people that don't bot.

well jagex been a few days now ive been waiting for the bots to be banned ....nothin so far so shut the **** up about banning max accs it hasnt effected the in game activities i was at frosties today and at one point EVERY SINGLE ***KING DRAGON WAS DEAD CAUSE OF BOTS

Hi Neutralz ,

I think we can all agree that it's unfair to other players to use bots and I sincerely don't understand why would you bot if you could actually play the game yourself. Anyways, we've banned a lot of bots - as mentioned in the first post - no matter if it was a new or maxed account. I can assure you we'll continue in our efforts to minimize the bot numbers.
