riddle me this: a group of players including pmods have been monitoring certain gold farmer bots for months, reporting them and logging thier xp progrees into forum threads. and they are still there botting away.

how is it that Jagex can ban a few bots today but do nothing about known ones for months on end, despite having all the information and feedback they need to do so, from thier own trusted community. It don't quite add up does it?

it smacks of Jagex wanting to merely give the impression that either a) they can effectively combat botting or that b) that they are taking it seriously.

personally i dont think they are prepared to do either at this point.

I would like to do something like this too. I could send lists and lists of bots to Jagex :/

As much as it is good to see that the God Statues bug abusers were banned, the fact is that:

Bots are still rampant throughout RS, with no obvious decrease in their numbers.
Some bug abusers managed to get away with it.
Abusers of different bugs are still not banned.

Without giving out the number of people banned, and without the names released, I have every reason to believe that this is just a publicity stunt. It'll take more than a handful of people banned to gain back our confidence Jagex. Runescape Forumers Discord Server

**. Botters will still bot and make me feel like not playing RS. EoC is great and all, but slaying beside an army of botters is detrimental to my playing experience and depressing in general. I mostly only play for PoP nowadays, cuz I don't see botters there. Lest just instance RS and get rid of the MMO part -.-

Oh well. I wish Botany Bay was actually working and not there mostly as PR and to save face -.-

Rewarding those who report bots is pointless. Many RS players seem to think if someone doesnt reply to what they say, that player must be a bot. I get called a bot all of the time just because I dont spend my time chatting with people.

i know theres maplestory
its just the fact it takes to long to get to lvl 99 unless your face-to-computer people.
many like me may take months maybe a year to get to 99 but by then we would move on due to the fact theres better things to do.
i just wondering if jagex would think of this issue.
just a question not to get some people butthurt >___> :|
