And yet bots still litter all training/skilling areas? I believe that a very high percentage of people currently in-game are actually bots. Yet everyone seems to refuse to believe that and are in denial with how many people are actually bots.

Banning bot is a great thing your doing but as a player i don't see any change. I got excited when u said many has been banned so I went to ancient cave and my jaw dropped there's even more then i ever seen. why not just go to these main botting areas and ban them instantly. u said no tollerance to me u talk a big game but i don't see it no offence. So before posting a troll tread like this u need evedance that it did happend. ye there making u money but when players leave ull just have the botters and when there not making money they'll go somewhere else to bot and make a profit. also one last thing need proff u read what ur paid to play player write or ull lose profit its been years and i garentee ur not making as much as u did 2 years ago listen to your players ty.

Interesting really,
They stopped randoms and I asked why, the response was because they were ineffective against bots and annoying the "real" players.

But, it is obvious there always have been bots, randoms or not, there are still bots, randoms or not, and unfortunately, there probably always will be bots.
It should be obvious by now, to anyone who has played more then a couple of years, that jagex never has, and still hasn't, effectively or efficiently stopped botting.
This post is just a bone tossed out there to attempt to appease the masses, mostly the idiot sheeples who believe everything they read, and it has no validity due to no verification in any manner. Just more smoke screens and bs from the PR department.


P.S. to any mod reading this, how can I get that annoying January 2011 fixed under my avatar? Like get rid of it or put the correct date on there? I been here almost 10 years and I find that January 2011 thing very annoying.

Good job on bot busting. Am I correct assuming that some bots may placed around RS by staff to provide some actual skilling activity in areas, or look like they may be doing something at gem stall. Not that I would disagree with that portion of a strategy but it does explain the following giving consideration to Jagex bot busting technology.

I have reported a bot in World 72, NW General exchange as a test to check staff response time on reporting. Understandably folks are busy Jagex with all the changes runescape is currently going through now. However, I have reported this bot 7 or 8 days in a row. Neessaugh is there as of this writing mixing potions 24/7 while I click click click a few moments out the day. Possibly reporting a bot by an individual is no longer a priority by Jagex staff in lieu of new methods used for bot busting.

Regarding all the post saying stop free trade.

They had stopped free trade for a while and when they implemented the trading cap with friends it did cut down on the goldfarming botters a bit.

However, they removed the cap and put free trade back in the game when the put the pvp wildy back in the game. Supposedly because so many players disliked it.
Doesn't it make you wonder who those players were?

They did run a "poll" before they did this, however, that poll was written in a manner that was misinterpreted by a large number of players, and it was also written poorly at best. Similar to the EOC poll, the majority of paying players were not happy about HOW it was polled nor happy with the supposed results.

So the trade cap was put in the game, then it was pulled a few years later. So, do you really think they are going to put it back in again?

Seriously, thanks for getting rid of a few of these bots, don't stop and also get rid of gambling hosts. I am surrounded by bots and hosts. Not fun. Can you hear us now?
