To: the eoc haters

You people are ignorant idiots (no offence). Jagex even said that kept the 1 style combat in the game just added abilities and an action bar in addition, so please you
Nay Sayers give EoC a Shot.

"You realize all you had to do to voice your opinion..."

I did the so called "tutorial" that failgex presented us and I was not happy when the "survey" came around because the questions and answers were complete BS. When the question about liking the combat beta came up I made sure to tell them I didn't like it at all. Was not happy that there was more than one answer when only two answers were really necessary. Yes I like it. No I don't. Plus there were so many bugs in the tutorial. Someone I know nearly had a seizure because that stupid blue screen would not go away upon clicking next. I'm sure more people didn't complete the survey due to those problems, so don't be a presumptuous know it all because you really don't know it all.

"...people would just vote "no" without even trying the new system."

And? If the End of Combat was as great as so claimed the yes would trump the no's.

"Or you would have people voting "no" because of promised payments or peer pressure."

Promised payments or peer pressure? You have no clue what you're talking about. No one but failgex would see your response to the poll so there is no peer pressure. And if you pay someone to vote in a survey then you're just a complete idiot.

"Having the survey after a piece of content that forces you to TRY the new system was brilliant. "

While your statement is true, it does not represent what really happened. We have a glitchy failed tutorial that a good number of my friends COULDN'T complete because it was so buggy. Then the survey itself was so buggy that a few of my friends just didn't bother completing it (like the one that nearly had a seizure) because it ended up being more trouble than it was worth.

Now if they had a survey where they asked people "Do you like the evolution of combat yes or no" THEN that would be truly brilliant. But failgex struck again with buggy content and didn't bother making an advanced tutorial for those who are high level combat.

Started this game in middle school, I am truly sad to see it go. R.I.P childhood. Runescape is like the monopoly of our generation, but the older generations still have the same game they knew and loved, while we are Sol. :(

You realize all you had to do to voice your opinion was to do the combat academy and complete a survey, right? If you were too lazy to do so, or couldn't handle the "Xp waste" (a BS term IMO) then that is your own fault.

You realize if they used a poll on the front page, people would just vote "no" without even trying the new system. Or you would have people voting "no" because of promised payments or peer pressure. Having the survey after a piece of content that forces you to TRY the new system was brilliant.

People haven’t taken advantage of it because they probably felt they shouldn’t have to actually play BETA to make assessments over whether they like it or not. Many people who’ve made their choices have done so by either playing it or watching videos of people playing it and making their choices from there. Yeah, advancing is a good thing, but you still have to take into account the feelings of others when making a big decision such as this. The Combat Academy vote did*’t allow fair opportunity for many people to make those choices as it offers fewer choices towards those that dislike the EoC and turns most of them into favor towards it. No one really stated this as being Jagex’* fault, but trying to force people to have to play CA just to vote says otherwise. What if someone tried to "force" you to try a new religion by continuously ranting on about it then putting a book about it and saying read it you will enjoy; leaving you in a locked room w/ nothing else to read, or perhaps if someone "forced" you to trying a food you've never tried before by starving you to the point where you don't have much choice. Tell me if that's brilliant <(-_-)>. Pretty sure most people didn't even know about the vote.

People who are already maxed combat such as yourself had no real reason to do the CA anyways unless you were/are going for max xp, and even then may prefer regular training over this.

Snowyheart has a point. Kind of like when they moved up from classic.... Actually all this stuff is almost identical to the move from classic to the current system.

Oh and can you guys start captioning the videos... I'm deaf so I miss a lot with no captions.

And fyi, I'm very much for EOC. Most of the whiners are just happy with their rotines and aren't happy just cause its a change.

Question 6. Overall, what are your thoughts on the new combat system?

Yes, BRING ON EoC!!!
Yes, it’s OK, but needs improvement.
Unsure, need more time to assess both.
I like both systems and wouldn’t mind playing on both.
No, it has some interesting features; however I still prefer the old system.
No, I dislike it completely.
I don't do combat, so have no opinion.

If the poll about EoC were something like this I believe it could've given people more options on how to assess its content after playing, however voting should still be on the homepage. It might help if people were more inclined to actually try it then making their choices from there, but with a fair voting opportunity and more options rather than forced labor.

As far as my choice on it I feel it still needs a bit more work (don't need everything as multiway, would seriously complicate things), but other than that I wouldn't mind playing both. They should keep some RS2 servers for those who aren't ready to make the RS3 change; like servers where made for classic when it was updated to RS2.

simple solution if you dont like leave. Although the people complaining so much seem to be the ones most addicted to this game or noobs following along. If you actually play you would see it is more fun for the most part, people act like this is changing the whole game when its not you can still skill the same. All it changes is pking and pvm which pvm is more entertaining and pvp well.. i think it will be better once the overpowered gear in the beta is gone. You are upset you have to kill dragons for money because your a noob and it changed? It is faster. You don't want to learn new things for slayer? It is easier u can like one hit abbysal demons. Don't want your armour to crash? they are balancing it so it doesn't in the long run. I don't know why all you people are against change so much seriously there are alot of people who want to play 2006 runescape? how dumb is that? the only difference would be graphics and less gear lol.. that sounds worse! Please if you can't at least give this a chance before complaining leave.. maybe the community will get better..
