I gotta disagree with the comment about stuns. The key is diversity. I love seeing what happens when I combine "schools," like magic and melee. It wins. I'd love to see some range skills added to the options (knife throwing just before using my sword would be kind of awesome). Or even "close in," fighting, which seems counter-intuitive, but makes sense since the knife and hatchet skills are in the range skills. That said, magic totally wins now. I was bored with it the other way, but now there are so many ways to play it. Nicely done. I'm just having a ball now. Once I realized I could combine melee with the basic mage skills, I was thrilled. Sure, I miss a lot with the magic, but when it works it's so very potent...
