Hello. I've bought a lot of blood runes after the eoc update, and used a lot of ice blitz & ice barrage. Ice barrage requires two bloods, while blitz only desires for one.

I've come to notice that ice blitz, however, deals a lot more damage than ice barrage.

I am at the moment slaying hellhounds, and with ice blitz, I hit 2500's (no crit!), when with barrage I can reach up to 800'ish. Having momentum on with autocasting of the spells, changing to test effectivity. I also noticed that blitz is casted with a staff (polypore staff at this moment) but barrage isn't.

How is this possible? Has there been a change to the system of these spells, or is there something wrong?

It's odd to use blitz instead of barrage, even with multiple enemies against me.

For those of you wanting inexpensive bolts:

a. two handed: black salamander + harrlander tar- this falls into the bolt catagory, and hits high - just tried at bats (do not use in a competitive area, as speed is 'average' and you won't get kills first >Kurndal dungeon is a solution though)

b. one handed: sagaie (1072) are very fast and hit better than rune cbow - tried both at Black Drags -

Note: use the ability bar and spells can hit 6 secs - that adds up to a lot less runes used over time - also use the shield, if one handed, to bounce-back damage onto the critter.

The belief that a mage vs melee makes gearing up impossible is a reasonable fear, but a false one. I went to slay yesterday (rather freaked out at the idea) in mage gear against heavy hitting crush critters, who were apparently weak to water spells. Not only did the mage gear have good defence against melee, but the spells tore through the critters before they could do much to me. I watched the guys with melee take twice as long, and get hit harder. Try it :)

I like the new balancing, but I am level 13 slayer, and literally every task I have had so **r has been a creature weak to magic. It becomes almost impossible (at least very improbable) for me to train anything other than magic! I have to use magic when I slay. It doesn't make sense to me to have so many creatures weak to magic. From my experience thus far, I would call it an over balance.

im just wondering whos "genious" idea was it to make bloodfire spells, escpecially when bloodfire barrage only heals 5% of ur damage? If i hit a 1000, i will heal myself for 50 hp? dafuq? that is nothing,its not even noticeable. one would bhe better off casting ice spells for the short freeze effect. both other spells are also useless as 5Þcrease in max hit? cmon that nothing.if they could hit a 1000 on me and now they only max 995? big whoop of a difference. i honestly dont even see the point of getting ancients anymore
