So the myriad of previous posts already state how foolish this promotion is and I will not reiterate those points.

I've tried and tried to support Jagex through these changes, but alas, even I have become sickened by their unabashed greed. Paying continuous membership since 2006, paying since 2004, 5 levels until max cape and I've begun shopping for a new MMO. Can anyone suggest a good one?

I've just posted on the Billing Support forum regarding the return to a $5 per month membership after the expiry of the 12 month package.

Mod Jetgoat confirmed (see page 681 for my question and his response):
"Hi Myah

So long as you don't go 7 days without membership you will never lose your loyalty rate. It will be ready and waiting in a year time! "

So one can continue with their lower subscription payment after the package expires. I hope this helps those wanting to know about a return to the lower payment rate if they choose to purchase a package.

my mates play dc universe. its reletively new. looks fun.

it was this kind of marketing that turned alot off wow...and the gold selling and all the guff we are being saturated with on this.

Well then, Myah, seems like Mod Chef and Mod Jetgoat need to have a conversation and figure out which one is telling the truth. Or, perhaps in the *past* any lapse in recurring membership meant loss of legacy rate, but for this promotion they are allowing people to keep legacy rates? Either way, clarification is needed, since Chef was very adamant that any lapse in the recurring monthly membership forfeited legacy rates, even if it was for purchasing bulk membership and you were never actually off membership - my bank statement attests to this loss of legacy rate. Need partner(s) to get 5k DA and Wildy kills for hats.
Need Fist of Guthix and Fight Pits partner(s) for hybrid armour pieces.
Need Fishing Trawler partner(s) for 5 shark teeth.

Dang, the front webpage is just riddled with promos. Ahhhh makes my head spin!

Watched a vid where a guy asked for a fally tab. Someone gave him one for free. He traded back and handed them 100m free. This was the best vid I have seen in a long time and shows what players thinks of all this.

Even though this is really a good offer, (if it was for RS2) makes me wonder where the game would be today if they put their energy in developing the game. Go to the home page to see my point.

It is very obvious to me why they are running this promotion. So many players quit in disgust over eoc that they are trying to lock us into paying for an entire year at once, so that they can basically do whatever they want to the game and to us and, even if we stop playing, they won't lose any money. You are giving away your power to deny them your membership if they totally demolish the game, which is what they seem bent on doing. Also, if the game crashes and burns in the next 3 months, they will have your money even if the game ENDS! Got it??? This is a scam, and one of the flat out greediest moves I've seen them make.

on a side note, why do people always resort to "by looking at your stats surely your lying!* who cares about stats. I've been playing this game on this account for 10 years. and i dont have any 99s. and i can prove it. i still have stuff from drops from pre 2003. (non tradeable stuff)


anywho. i think they should include all future promos with the gold package
