As others have posted in this thread, some recognition for your veteran players who have supported you for years would be appreciated.
Its cheaper for me to continue with my monthly subscription than to take out any of the three premium pacakges offered. Also once the 12 months is up for the gold package, do I revert back to my $5 per month subscription or am I made to pay the new increased rate?
As suggested, why not offer a special package for the veteran players still paying the lower monthly subscription. These are the people who have stuck with Runescape thru the good, the bad, and the complete crap.

I am not interested in locking a commitment for twelve months. Just plain silly and makes Jagex look desperate to hold on to the subscribers they have left.
yeah, ive been grandfathered in too and only pay $5 a month. ..but you guys get that $5 each and every month, and you have gotten it since - 2004, without missing even one month. Why would I want to pay more for the Gold, just for the little extras? They are good extras, and that is a good deal for newer players - BUT it doesnt do anything for me.
Now.. if you offered the Gold package for a year,, at the same fee i'm already paying, then I'd have no problem paying the once a year fee. Seems to me that'd be fair to the players already grandfathered in. I like the idea, but im not interested paying more just to win a few 1,000 gp or small xp lamps,, or some cosmetic stuff... or... the betas... the eoc beta? ... i hated lol.. and still do. I dont like how RS is becoming, but im still playing and hoping to learn to like it..
would really like to see a different option for us long time players. Especially if we've never missed a month for years...

Hey Jagex, I noticed something. You're listing benefits that mean nothing with these packages, and why?
One of the so-called "benefits" is 10% discount at Solomon's, but don't members *already* get a 10% discount? Does that mean these premium payments would result in a 20% discount from Solomon, or are you just blowing smoke at us in an attempt to make the deal look more appealing?
