Plixcel, I know they have to make money, and I was more than willing to pay them for their company's upkeep and good, good updates for a long long time, much longer than my forum date suggests.

That paid for a good game. I have been right on the verge of leaving it ... again (the latest lapse was a protest against their inability/unwillingness to do much about bots).

I have paid them again for a solid year and I no longer see that I'm getting a good deal, when all the updates are so obviously stilted to making the company a bit of short-term cash rather than investing in fixing the content they already have and continuing long-term playability.

@Ghosttalon (p56)

Don't get me wrong I'm actually against SOF and do not purchase spins from it. But in terms of actual money spent are you actually making the case that 365 spins and 2000 Runecoins is not worth $15? I don't know what spins cost but just the Runecoins alone cost more than that.

As I said if you don't support those microtransactions to that much of an extent you simply can choose not to purchase the package.

Please let the packages of Bronze/Silver/Gold membership appear at the PayByCash slot.
The type of c-card I have doesn't show up in the box "Card Type" (I wanna do transaction from Belgium).
I can pay with the type of c-card I have at the PayByCash section.
I don't wanna make a Paybal account (personal reasons) so please let it appear there.
Anyone else who want this?

Greetz,
Angerfist

And I obviously won't be purchasing the package, nor does said package do anything to make me a more loyal customer, given the way they are currently running their game.

I still think, regardless of the "goodies" or what Jagex charges for them, it's a slap in the face to the long-term players because their memberships, even at lower rates, did far more to support the game over time and make it the success it was than those who have been paying more for a year or two.

I'm torn. On the one side, it seems awesome. I wouldn't normally be the kind of person to purchase DLC stuff, except for with the original 200 free rune coins, but this is tempting. And I'm fairly dedicated to the game (I've paid for at least the last year straight) and wouldn't mind committing for the next year.

On the other hand, I don't have $75USD to pay right now. I'm scheduled to re-up my membership in three days, which I can afford, but I might be able to afford the gold membership (the only of the three I'd really consider) with Christmas money, but I don't want to let my membership lapse. I'm currently paying $5/month, so it would be $15 more for a year, and I don't want to let that lapse, though I don't know if I'll be able to afford both another 6 months plus a gold club membership. I had hoped loyalty would yield a similar discount, or maybe alternatively a monthly payment alternative.

Edit: (in case anyone cares enough to read)
One dilemma solved, I canceled my 6-month recurring payment option and bought a one-month extension, so I'm not forced to choose between keeping my discount grandfathered rate, if other posts I've read are accurate. Now it's just a question if the extra $15 is worth it with the extras...
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

I'll buy gold if some of the following are met:

1) Assurance of return to veteran membership prices($5/mo).

2) Flag my account to not have ending game sessions(removal of 5/6 hr / network/computer change limit).
This is especially important to me. 5/6 hr limit is annoying especially while doing anything risky / awareness intense. I travel a decent amount and having to reload my client every time my network changes or after each computer resume is very annoying, especially on a low bandwidth traveling internet that takes up to 10 minutes to load the client.

3) Instant world hopping(like in the old days).
