I honestly wonder what the purpose of these packages is... First of all, half the people who want to get it can't get it 'cause of limited payment methods. And half the people who could get it don't want to because it would actually be more expensive for them due to being a loyal member. You are putting loyal members at a disadvantage, rather than rewarding them.
To those saying that 'of course you have to pay more, you get extras': You are also locking your membership in for a year. This SHOULD mean you pay less, because Jagex has a guaranteed income from you for the whole year. They can invest sooner and thus get a larger return.
Like has been said by previous posters, I wonder where you will draw the line. Next thing we'll get is premier membership with own non-cosmetic content, making p2p the old f2p. You are trying to gain more money, and do so by following other MMO's. They too often rely on microtransactions. However, you miss one thing:
Other MMO's only use ONE option of payment, two at most (membership and one-time software purchase). So Jagex, I ask of you, make a choice. EITHER ask us for a membership fee, OR run SoF (though this goes against your rules, even after you not-so-subtly changed them because you were breaking them yourselves), OR run Solomon's store, but not all at once. And if you should still decide to run all three, at least decrease the prices on the membership fee and reward your loyal customers.
I used to enjoy this game a great deal, and still occasionally do, but let's face it, the quality AND frequency of your content is going down. Graphically everything's fine, but game and story wise...Focus less on Solomon and SoF updates, and more on ACTUAL content again please...
