I have been playing many years.. Wasted over 10 hours a day on this game.

I even played this game like a true nerd while serving my military service. I haven't logged in for over a week.

I am comming back to this. Thank you jagex for making quitting easy.

You are destroying the game with this, EoC, devaluating EXP, and having a horrible customer service.
I am silently lolling in real life while watching the number of players dying.

Come to Norway and I will gladly make you popcorn. Don't worry Jagex, it will be free! :)

The future of Runescape is not looking good, and i honestly don't care as long as the game stays as it is. This game is not the game i played 8 years ago. It's going downhill and that hill is getting steeper over time.

So I don't understand this. That 10% of all the XP they earn thing..

..lets assume I actually have friends, and lets assume they actually want to play RuneScape without remembering all my IRL friends quit RuneScape round about the time you started killing it (which is up for debate of course.)

Let's assume I manage to find ten co-workers who decide to member and play - they all play for ages, and decide to split into two Dungeoneering groups, and all 10 get 120 Dungeoneering - they quit their jobs and play RuneScape all day and get 120 within six months of joining.

I decide to take a long break, keeping myself a member to retain hiscores value + gain loyalty points + retain cheaper membership costs + not lose forum subbed since date etc.

Do I come back and find myself with 104,000,000 Dungeoneering XP because 10% of all their Dungeoneering XP from 10 people (100%) has now been added to my account?


Or does it only apply while you are skilling when near them? Hopefully it's the latter of course, I don't want you to add some stupid feature where you could be Fishing as Piscatoris, your hundred friends could be Hunting in Oo'glog (good luck with that with all the bots but still) and I'd be reaping thousands of XP a minute due to them hunting there etc. Do they have to be on the same world, and nearby? Have to both be training the same skill and both earned XP in the same skill within five minutes to be eligible for the bonus XP?

Just seems a little overpowered - 10% is tiny when you consider they'll start off small - 10% of 30XP is 3XP but when they've moved on to say, Cooking rocktail or something, that's 10% of 380 XP, or roughly 35k free XP an hour? With just one referred friend.

Just seems a little far-fetched to me. Refer-a-bot indeed :(

When you guys are all sitting around coming up with these ideas, has anyone suggested going back to the roots of Runescape?

Look back and figure out why so many played for so long! Look back at why it went down hill!

Then decide if it's worth keeping or fixing it RIGHT!

Jagex STOP handing out free exp, it cheapens the game for those who wish to grind it out. For nearly a decade people were willing to play this game at 1x exp rate, who decided it needed a boost.

Refer 10 accounts
get 300 free days of membs on the main account
bot the 10 referred for a 100% exp gain
??? Profit

No risk of getting banned, oh wait bots don't get banned anyway what was I thinking.


EDIT: Also, (if players really refer people from the irl mmorpg) this means skillers can't refer friends who want to do combat.

Last post on this travesty of justice we call a thread. Word of mouth can be a great asset or a severe liability... I will make it my life's work, to not only refuse to recruit a friend to this game. But to deter my friends and like minded people i meet on this game from continuing to pay for membership. Consider my hand forced. Jagex. You're a sell out corporate joke. I will not be renewing my membership until our needs are met.
