Today I have lost all remaining faith in our jagex mods.. the people we pay to listen to our questions and concerns. I believe that's in their job description isn't it? A new sticky thread was added to the news discussion regarding the recruit a friend update.
I was respectful, and I asked some very legit questions. Unfortunately I didn't save the message before I posted it and was rudely ignored on a level so biased. It's sickening. So I will try my best to replicate it:
concerned player: "Isn't this just refer-a-bot all over again, benefits the people with the most accounts (serious botters) but doesn't really add any new *people* to Runescape?"
Mod Mikes's response: "Well, if people choose to bot they'll face the normal consequences of having that account banned! "
My response:
"With all due respect sir. Bots aren't being banned. I don't know how often you play this game...? or threads regarding the issues of bots you read. But apparently the "normal consequences" don't apply to bots in this game. I would really like a reply from you regarding this issue. But I fear my post will be hidden and my questions and concerns will be ignored. I have been playing this game for close to a decade now on and off. And I have never seen so many bots in my life.
I don't see anything antagonistic or disrespectful with that post. They're sincere questions... Immediately my post was hidden and swept under the rug. As usual. It's very clear to me you don't care to discuss these issues. You'd just rather avoid the topic all together. It's very unfortunate the money from bots have blinded Jagex by greed. They run this game now. They pay the majority of Jagex wages now. Not us.. Not players who have played this game since classic. When there were like what? 2 guys running this game? Lol This level of arrogance is staggering. I feel sick to my stomach that I pay money for this garbage service. I'll never refer a friend to this game. Thanks again for the stellar service Jagex.
