CLEARLY and I do mean clearly, the real update players wanted for the SoF was the ability to purchase spins being removed, But of course that would stop Jagex making money, and they care more about that now than they do about keeping us happy.
I'm no specialist but I'm pretty sure if you make updates the MAJORITY of your paying customers don't like, they won't continue to pay you for your services, they won't encourage other people to join, And you'll probably only end up making the money you lose from lost members.
If I had known 10 years ago the majority share holder of Runescape would sell out to someone who doesn't have the players interests in mind in the slightest, and is only interested in pushing this game in the most profitable direction at the cost of old long-standing Runescape ethics and values, I wouldn't have invested so much time into it.
Reading players bragging about how they're looking forward to purchasing XP and items I get pretty angry that Jagex haven't just allowed this, They've caused it and show no intentions of rectifying it, Or even admitting that actually "you give us money, we give you Experience and Wealth" is REAL.. WORLD... TRADING.

I don't think it's fair to change the SoF rewards.
People have paid real life money for RuneScape XP and items, and those people would've gotten way more if they had bought the spins with the new rewards.
That said, I don't even think RuneScape items/XP should be for sale and I'd like to see SoF removed from the game.

If Jagex had listened to their player feedback they would have seen the #1 problem in the game is the bots, and dealt with that as their priority.
Instead of adding to something that didn't belong in the game and went against the spirit of the game, ignoring all the other problems in their game (PVP wilderness, luring, gambling etc.) proves once again Jagex lied to us and didn't read player feedback at all.
As you are making so much money now, just make runescape totally free to play.

Seriously, if the prizes on the wheel were merely cosmetic (and WAY !@#* cooler than a silly-%^& head-tatoo) then I think that even buying extra spins would meet with grudging approval -- BUT NO!!!!
*Content is a one-way street that doesn't involve any listening at all, just pushing bad ideas on all of the customers to win over a few fickle players who will leave as soon as some hot new poke-my-mom game comes out.

Just had to post to say that I really love and agree with everything you have posted, Brayshay. Very well written and thoughtful indeed! Notably this:
