Honestly, when I got that offer it made me think the game must not be doing so good. It wasnt even a holiday or anything. The owner needs cash. Then you see less and less people logging into the game and it only reinforces that belief that the game is dying.

Do you know we had this kind of offers since 2013? Actually they have reduced the offering and mostly limited it to players who haven't bought keys with real money the last 2 years.

Based on your logics of making such offers made you think the game must not be doing good, then the game is actually doing far better than the past recently, and real life financial reports with real life $$$ figures suggested the same thing. RS3 is growing at 18% and 20% in revenue the last 2 years comparing to 6% and -7% from OSRS over the same periods.

Based on your logic, I didnt start playing in June 2022 and have no way of being offered something because I havent bought keys in the last 2 years.

I guess it doesnt matter that June 2022 was not 2 years ago, as long as someone can take a topic somewhere other than where it is.

Try to keep your mind on the OPs thoughts. The topic is not a financial plan, lol.

RS is growing you say. Really? A lot of new players you think? Or maybe just the same folks making more accounts - which do you think is more likely?

Why would Mod Jack say they are not focused on new players if RS is growing at all?

Regardless what logics you are using and when you started playing a game, the game won't die just because 1 person doesn't like it. The game will only die when it is financially infeasible, but obviously RS3 is in far far better financial shapes than plenty of games including some we know in these RSOF.

Dilbert, you are the only one talking about the game dieing because 1 person doesnt like it.

I didnt say the game is dieing, but cited reasons why it might feel/look like it is.

You said the offer I received is made to people who havent bought keys in two years. I havent bought keys in 1 to 2 months. I couldnt have bought keys two or more years ago because I wasnt here before June 2022.

You said the game is growing. You know, I hope you are right, but at the same time it would not be off-base to assume the players who made new accounts for the most recent FSW account for those small percentages you gave. I am honestly the only player I have met that hasnt been playing this game forever.

These same FSW participants could be why it seems like less and less people are logging in everyday.

You say the game is fine. I hope for your sake alone, you are right.

What? I wrote RS3 is definitely not dying for a long time:

"RS3 last officially reported 18% and then 20% growth in revenues in their last 2 fiscal years. Games like this with real world, real money financial growth won't just "die" in at least a few years."

Thank you for the bump, and it clearly showed I think RS3 is far from dying. It is actually kicking the butts of many other MMORPGs.
