Necromancy eh? That's, like, communicating with the dead, hmmm. Interestingly, it's expressly forbidden by the Catholic church (oh yes, I remember my Catechism drills alright) despite what people might say. It's also forbidden in Islamic belief, I'm pretty sure Jewish people take a dim view of it although I think I heard Hindus and Buddhists are ok with it.

Not that I care in that regard as I shed organised religion along with my puppy fat a long time ago. So I'll look forward to seeing if Dead Can Dance.

I think it would be rude to ignore a ghost who's trying to talk to you, just because they're dead.

luckily its just a fantast game, and necromancy has been in this game for almost 2 decades now. its just not been a skill

I haven't got enough time to deal with the living never mind accommodating annoying dead people asking me what time the Post Office opens. You'd think they'd have better things to do, being dead an' all, than loiter around the living mournfully rattling their bones and asking inane questions.

I'd probably be more receptive to social intercourse if they were to offer a valuable public service, like litter picking for instance, or top tips on how to keep your lettuce from wilting in the fridge, but until then I'm afraid they can just naff off back to Limbo or wherever it is they're supposed to be.

well you were talking about Catholicism and other religions in regards to necromancy. hence my response on it being a fantasy game not actual necromancy. and then said necromancy has been in game pretty much from beginning, so if people do have issue with it due to their religion, then its tad too late.

Hmmm. You have obviously been communing with a higher calibre of apparition than the twonks who walk into my living room through the fireplace wall.

I don't mind if they're just passing through but some of them leave droppings, and ectoplasm is such a persistent stain.
