I wish I had the time to play on two accounts - LOL. I can assure you I'm not a mod here or in-game and if I were ever modded (contrary to my SEVENTEEN mutes) I'd likely lose it within a week. I can act but it wouldn't take long at all for reports against me to rack up enough to take the crown away xD

Jagex's neglect and social media killed the forums. Even if you removed all F-mods, the forums would still struggle to attract new users. They absolutely suck to use feature-wise and are really behind compared to other forum boards out there. What helped social media win over the RSOF was just how ancient the forums are. So many features missing. They're just horrible to use.

I wouldn't still be using these forums today if it wasn't for the existence of the RS Linkify extension. This was a Chrome extension developed by a HLF forumer. Development unfortunately ceased and it eventually broke once the RS URL changed from http to https. With some manual tweaks to the extension, you could get partial functionality again.

I was quickly reminded how much the forums were missing once the extension broke. Thank god the issue was fixable and you could get most of the extension working. It is ridiculous that another forumer had to develop an extension to provide us with some needed forum features and it really shows the lack of care from Jagex for the forums. They severely neglected them.

Activity would be higher if Jagex showed just a little more care and gave the forums the updates they desperately needed. It might still not have been as popular as social media, but it would've attracted more users than it did.

Unfortunately now, we'll never get to see what a major forum update would've done for the forums' health. .

This is absolutely the case.

Jagex made a conscious decision to be trendy and encourage their staff to use other social media instead of their own forums, and as a result people followed them off site. And now they have the nerve to claim that THEY are following the PLAYERS!

I gave you the benefit of the doubt by leaving this thread unlocked - I moved it because it was in the wrong forum and in the hope you might want to discuss things reasonably, but no... you're now resorting to insulting FMods and anyone who has an opinion different to yours.

If this lock reinforces your view that moderation is heavy-handed, do as I suggested before - visit almost any other forum that has moderators, insult them, argue with them, then see how that works out for you.

I'm locking this now as you'd rather argue and throw insults than discuss anything reasonably.
