Newsflash: there are more kinds of monsters than bosses. Not bossing does not equal not "doing combat". Not everyone longs to do ultimate or extreme combat.

Sorry for the piggyback rant, but haven't trained necro hard in a few weeks--lost interest in hurrying as I got closer to 70. Playing with the combat style, but not as anything other than "well, here's this new thing to slog through", as I am not and have never been a combat junky.

Now, to atone, going over to compliments to say thank you for giving me my daily challenges back, so I have a daily incentive to train dung and archaeology.

Your good for the rant why its in rants. Anyway my point is that Necro while good; its really for bossing; not really just slayer kills. You can still use other styles if you use slayer; sure!

But if you are going for logs or any kind of boss kills; Necro without a doubt is the choice.

And you kind of prove a point of mine; that necro (unless for higher level PvM like bosses) is really not over the top suitable for new players; its just something players can now use to enjoy most of the bossing game.

Like; unless you are going for high tier PvM; you might not need even need T95 to kill lower level monsters. So again whats the incentive for players to really use necro; unless its PvM oriented of sometype (Slayer/bossing)

Again you write about keys after explaining a lack of interest; which comes to my point; that players are not over the top interested in necromancy unless they already know PvM; and the keys are a staple to the community that to simply remove is foolish. It clearly showed that more people were angry about keys/hero pass; then interested in necro.

The fact so many people where willing to walk away after they had just developed a combat style to make almost everything accessible; really showed a fickle/shill aspect of their own because they are no longer getting freebies to level their account without any sort of input.

Do we really need such players in the game? I don't think a game should be developed around people who don't play it, and just want XP for doing nothing. That is not what a game is about. The more of these lazy freebie types leave the game, the better.

Sadly; the keys are part of the MTX; which yes Jagex wanted to get rid of; so it woulden't be freebies; but rather Pay to win.

However people flipped out over it and they have reinstated the keys; the Moral is still damaged.

Point being; if any of those key lovers have a chance of getting one of dem big ol key bundles; they will do anything to keep those players happy. Hence why they brought daily keys back.

If it dident; they would have told the cheapskate player base to "F*ck off" in a very nice; not easy to recognize way.

So its sadly not about the freebies; but also the MTX which the freebies encourage.

And while I think the players would be better gone and players who care more about the core of the game (such as improving skills for better use for other skills) Jagex needs those cash cows; and thats those fickle players who love keys/MTX promotions because they love gambling (gambling is a real issue you know) .

I dont think the Orange H ween or dive/surge overrides are going to have people raving tihs year! But you will see people scraping all the oddments together while dumping a casual $200 usd on keys for the newest Grand exchange bombs on the market.

they made t90 gear hit like t50 gear..........but that was their intention all along. release an op skill to get people back in the game then nerf it into irrelevance. like cod

With necromancy it's the conjurers who are your weapon. The thing you have in your hand is not supposed to hit very hard on its own, because that is not how the class works.

Sheepman, I like dailies because they make me spend some time on skills that don't grab me. That is about as much of a completionist as I am!
I still do golden rocks, because I am 118 dung, and loathe dung (it is not a skill, but a minigame elevated to one, that you must BE skilled to do well).
I ran out of gas on Arch, and use dailies for that too.
I very much liked the style of necro, but I do not boss, because I don't play for adrenaline.
And I lost interest closing in on 70, because, after having to attain the level to make the untradeable resources to make the next level equipment (which I am fine with), I suddenly have to play bosses to use those already levelled untradeable resources to make the equipment commensurate with the level I already earned?
Forced bossing is a nope for me, so the whole "oh my gosh this is so great, people who never bossed CAN now!!" misses the mark.
While it may be true for some who longed to boss, what about people who...never DID long for it?
Well, suck it up and start bossing!
Lol, no.
When I get over my mad I'll grind it like I reluctantly grind dung to get it over with, keep using the combat style to learn it, and start saving (har har har) for high level gear when I've maxxed.
And about the time I do that, there will be a new skill to throw me out of the max tower again, and hopefully it won't have some forced crap that I have no interest in attached to it.
(I'm an optimist, can you tell? lol)

I dont think ive commented here, Nec the skill and training isnt really a problem its pretty simple, the problem is upgrading your weapon and armor is a god damn chore that is not fun at all and they should of just made tradeable gear made with crafting and basic freaking items like dragonhide. I dont want to play a stupid ironman and spend hours making everything from scratch just to have t 70-90 gear so i can stop hitting low numbers. Just fix it then ill actually want to train the skill. Jagex always does something to screw shit up.
