Afraid not. Diversity and inclusion. At the end of the day it doesn't hurt to address someone by the pronoun they wish to be known. It's the way the future is headed. It's not wise to exclude people for superficial things like this. People have way more to offer. Get used to it.

And don't worry, we're not going to get reported for accidentally misgendering somebody. Not unless done aggressively and/or with intent to harass. There's always the 'freedom of speech' defence too. But to keep peace just get with the program :P it's here to stay. Bob says:

Hear me out on this; by including backstory and details on these characters, they are making the new quest richer and more interesting. I can't see a problem with that.

As for gender, it turns out that Runescape has had gendered characters from day one! If you're upset at non-normative characters being in the game, I direct you to the bearded women of the original 2001 version of runescape. Those characters made the game more interesting back then and these new quest characters continue to do so today.

I'm so glad I figured out ways to run with bonds because I ain't giving these clowns a single penny going forward. This, the same company that I used to passionately want to work for. This, the same company that I defended through all sorts of controversies like EoC. This, the same company that has brought me so much joy for over two decades.

They've lost the script and I will NOT support this garbage. This pronoun idiocy is already spread across our clown world. Video games offer one of the last great escapes from this absolute nescience and seeing this mental illness seep into a game that I have adored since I was a kid... it's just beyond disappointing. It legitimately makes me want to throw up.

I hate that I've become one of those "remember when Jagex was good" folks but really: I remember when Jagex was focused more on making a fun game, one that tried to carve its own path in a once-oversaturated industry. They didn't push any sort of identity politics or real-world SJW nonsense into the game.

I'll say it 'til the day I die: bring back MMG. When he left, this company began its rapid downward spiral into the filthy, putrid toilet of insanity. ~
