I am seriously considering uninstalling game this morning after logging in and finding taxes on selling my items in the GE. This new update is a joke, this is a game not real life, I come here to "escape" real life and now you have brought real life problems into the game, great, good job jagex, you have messed up what once was a good thing.

its not about "real life"

its a gp sink to help reduce inflation due to the changes in death costs.

inflation is a serious issue and needs to be under control. this was helped with death costs. but they have now been reduced by 80% so something had to take it place

its been in osrs for a while now. and really doesnt effect game play at all.. so dont leave the game over something so small

I honestly don't care about death costs. that wasn't even a thing when I started playing this game. if you died then you died, there was no re-claiming your stuff. this is going to cause prices to go up and stuff is going to be harder to sell as a result. Jagex messed with something that was not broken, then they proceeded to smash it into bits.

yes the game has changed since we both started playing ive been playing 20 years now. accepting that changes happen is a way to enjoy it.

you may not care about death costs but this is a game with more people than just yourself.

looking at osrs who have had tax for a while. its clearly not effected it in a negative way, infact its made the economy much healthier than it was. i assume thats why rs3 devs are doing the same. if it works and is good for game do it.

What an easy answer....Wow!

Now I'm blowing vials to make a profit in game and oops, just lost 2%.
That times all daily purchases and sells will get you more than you've ever got for deaths I reccon.
This change was for me the reason not to continue this account as paying member, I'm utterly disgusted by it.

And what your answer concerns... You are making people pay for other peoples deaths by introducing this tax, even if they don't boss and just say: Deal with it.... Thank you for your concern! NOT

i remember people overreacting over the ge tax in osrs. it will die down when they realise it doesnt actually change anything.

controlling the amount of gp that enters the game is incredibly important. this does it

i dont know how or why you are "disgusted" its very bizarre reaction

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

So stating that it all will blow over and a reaction is bizarre, is YOUR opinion.

Mind you, I am already paying for playing this game, why taxes?
Do we have to pay rent for our houses soon? Or take a mortgage?

When I'm crossing the borders from Lumbridge to Al Kharid, do I have to declare items at customs?

I think I am paying enough for playing, and that tax really pisses me off.

I've got 3 accounts, my FSW account will be a ftp account soon, the other 2 accounts will be discontinued when membership is due.

I realize that it's no concern to you, and that you can't be bothered by it.
But hey, I can't be bothered by your opinion.

It's bad, but they gave us over a year advanced warning. I don't recall many other people speaking out against it.

The opportunity has come and gone.

Of course, there was a little matter of promising to offer a poll before making any changes, but we can conveniently forget that.
