Dude I know more people (100%) who spoil more than an euro a day beyond/besides playing RuneScape and never get annoyed or worried about it ... including you too. That's five times 12 months of gameplay.
Even the poorest people who still wanna play RuneScape do spoil a lot of money.

The reason I am not a member right now is because I miss too much time to get online at times.

If you dont like how much you're going to have to pay, you really only have 2 options from what i can see.

Use bonds or just become f2p.

I mean you seem to be forgetting jagex is a company and needs to make money just like every other one in existence so why this is so hard to understand is baffling.

Whether anyone replying in this thread thinks it or not this is literally them... Thanking Jagex every time they raise the price and being toxic to other players and blaming them for their dissatisfaction... The forums are the worst about it. I'm not giving Jagex any more money for the foreseeable future.

The problem here isn't that they raised the price, it's that they raised the price for unjustifiable reasons. They're using the inflation excuse to try to justify rear-ending their players, many of whom have paid their paychecks for a decade or more because we love this game. Then you get the Jagex shills (I was once one of those when I was younger but adulthood changed that) who will LITERALLY justify anything Jagex does and then, as you said, be toxic towards those who are dissatisfied.

Look, I know this game has had a history of whiners who complain about anything but that doesn't mean that there aren't legitimate issues that the players raise from time to time. The shills act as if having a grievance against an unjust bullcrap price change means you want everything for free or think Jagex doesn't deserve to be paid.

Well, for one, modern Jagex really DOESN'T deserve to be paid but that's beside the point. I have poured literal THOUSANDS of dollars into this game over the years. Part of that was because I love the game, part of it was because I rarely ever felt pressured to do so due to the affordable subscription and optional cosmetics.

Plus, you tack on the fact that Jagex has had literally nothing but extreme financial success since about 2016 or so and you start to realize just how pathetic Jagex is.

They sure love to talk about how they care but they don't. If anything, they hold outright contempt for us. If they ACTUALLY cared about us, they'd not only do anything they could to keep the money flow without milking the playerbase. If they ACTUALLY cared about us, they wouldn't be removing RS from Steam and forcing everyone to use their gutter trash launcher. If they ACTUALLY cared about us, they'd make sure that this price increase comes with a SIGNIFICANT boost in content quality. Now, that one remains to be see but I'd almost be willing to bet my bank that it won't. ~

Why is this guy getting shit, it's possibly the most honest thread i have seen in ages, surely whats left in forums have not been programmed to automatically disagree with any heartfelt posts and try to rip apart anyone that tries to be honest.

It's a fuckin shame and pretty obvious why these forums are grabbing a spade and burying them fuckin selves when everyone gets shit no matter wtf they say, unless they are somewhat "known" and then they get left alone, sure some try to give the "known" shit but they only do that in an attempt to look good...

Fuckin bullies, that is all i see.

I really appreciate the response. Contrary to what some may think, I don't enjoy criticizing the game or Jagex. I used to love Jagex and want to work for them and I still love this game, which is why it kills me to see both in their current state. We need a lot more honesty in the game's community or things are going to fall apart, especially with ridiculous decisions like the price spike. ~
