Agreed taxes need to be removed neither game needs a gold sink poor get poorer.

We are all entitled to our opinions. Yours is just as valid as any other.

Jagex made a game where you could be anything you wanted:

A skiller, a PKer, a PVMer, a Quester, an Achievement seeker, but now they seem to have a preferred playstyle, and if you dont do that you get taxed for it.

Its not fair to treat every skiller like they are a bot. Now you have PVMers calling for a tax cap on high end items.

Its not fair to have a tax cap.

Im going back to a simpler playstyle that I enjoyed when I made my toon. I had fun in that game. Im here worried about how Im being treated in this game.

Its okay. Keep the tax. Ill keep my subscription fee. We will both be very happy.

If anyone doesnt like my choices they are free to make their own. I can spend my money for what I want, and if Im not getting what I want, I dont have to spend my money. Simple as that really.

Anyone's opinion on that is worthless because they have no right to an opinion on what I do with my cash. Its my business and not theirs.

RWT is more important! Gold sinks for certain playstyles is more important!

I can easily accept that, as long as no one expects me to pay for it too.

Enjoy your game! I will be enjoying it too, just not in the same way. Its all good. :)

There's a case to be made for the tax cap without being a PvMer. At some point the deducted gp gets so high those items wouldn't be sold on GE at all, so getting it so that they do ends up sinking more gold than without the cap. That said, PvM is still being unfairly favoured in how low the death costs were dropped, the downplaying of their gold generation and trying to fix the economy with a GE tax instead of actually doing something about alchemy.

What's not fair is PvM generating at least 10B more than they sink and the tax being some 30B over the target gold reduction just in case people stop using GE over the tax or something. Overtaxing the main method of player trading is deemed fine but heaven forbid alchemy values get balanced or alch machines get nerfed to get the actual primary source of gold generation under control. That's not how the game economy is going to get fixed.

GE tax isn't all that bad. I've gotten used to the system in OSRS and besides it's more affecting the merchers who have too much money for common sense anyway, so it gets gold sinked towards that side of the woods. It does sometime suck when you get a solid drop that you want rounded off to a nice number but that's about all I notice.

I mean I don't think I've ever really had a problem with GE or its systems. I miss Falador Garden and Varrock behind the bank but those days are just a fever dream now.

I like to think of merchers like the Warrant Album titled: Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich.

Please find photo below to show what the average mercher looks like:

Why should I have to pay for something I didn't do or cause?

So people who use alch machines should pay the most tax?

If that is a big source of the perceived problem, and contributes the most to gold generation, it would seem only fair to tax the Alch Machine dont you think?
