No worries; I’m still here and check my thread, just am not able to check in as often as I used to.

The arguments and circle of complaints mostly revolve around one person who has been warned multiple times to stop trolling my thread and posting absolutely nothing of value.

I appreciate you warning again, and yes, I can bump my own thread from here on.

I am curious though.

Jagex would still have the RSC source code lying around somewhere on an old hard drive or somewhere on their server. Unless it was destroyed. Though it would be nice if a private server was preserved in an online museum one day. It is history after all.

Here are your options:

- Acquire Jagex through purchase, Carlyle investment group had Acquired Jagex for around $530 Million, send them an email and make them an offer.

- Infiltrate Jagex as employee, work your way up, 'borrow' the source code. Then when RS3 finally dies, release the source code anonymously.

I fell in love with this game yet the current CEO/SEO/Head Honcho is not the Promising Andrew Gower we all came into this game and loved.

I wish he would come back and put an end to this nonsense everyone knows Open Source is the future and profiting from Open Source is 100% possible. RS3 source model isn't some "beauty" and osrs re-mastered servers are not any better than what Could be.

You should invest in Software Engineers and IT to Maintain and Manage these Open Source envirments. You could make MORE MONEY doing that than you make currently and even expand to other game engine models, but trying to monitize on the work of others from almost a decade ago isn't the way to go.

We pay to keep the servers online, not for you to "Hoard the codebase as your own" the community owns the codebase just as much as your company does/should regardless if Jagex admitts to this or not.

We would gladly help develop for the Clients/Servers as we had in the past its up to Jagex to make this NEEDED change(s).

Still missing RSC! I notice there's more and more "private servers" around these days, with fairly decent sized player bases, is this in itself a good reason for Jagex to bring it back? R.I.P RuneScape Classic - 6th August, 2018

^You should report any of those you see as they are clearly breaking Rs T&C.

Plus they are stealing which is a crime no matter where you live.

Also no that isnt a reason as its been said no one at jagex knows the code.

So its high time ppl finally understood what that means.

I'm well, still stalking the forums here and there ^.^

An average of 4 active users online and a solid 50% of those being trolls doesn't help.

Remember when RSOF was the place to be, back in the day?

The RSOF need to be brought back to life just as much as RSC haha.
