OP: ...A system for embedding, reporting or copying Jagex Staff posts to those venues here on the official website would go a long way to fixing the perception that people NEED to be on other platforms in order to stay up to date - which is very frustrating indeed for those of us who really don't want to be.

Love this idea
It could provide a nice compromise between people wanting us to stop posting externally and our need to post elsewhere.
Since we have plans & high hopes for updating the forum software over time I don't expect this is something we'll prioritise to work on - but it's something if our Community Management team like I'd love to speak to Mod Allstar & Rascasse about figuring out during spare time.
The reality of external sites is we just aren't going to stop posting there. They provide valuable opportunities for us to extend our brand and reach new audiences. That should be obvious to everyone it's a critical part of our business, bringing new & lapsed players back into RuneScape.
If it's not posted on RuneScape too, that's on us - I know the web team try to post everything we do.. on the website.. but sometimes a brand new topic for "Removing RuneLabs from the navigation" doesn't seem necessary
We do it where appropriate though! Check out Mod Rascasse's thread on RuneMetrics or mine on the re-vamped log-in pages!

I'll admit that I'm more comfortable with twitter than with the forums - I've been using it as a Jmod for much longer, and even as a player I was never a big forum user. That'll change, don't worry. I'm always looking at the forums now, even when I'm not posting - I just have to start the habit of posting as well
