Well I've read the job role and I'll wait to see how it pans out but we can't have two heads of community. When it says you will be output focused and relentless about delivery do you think that is output to the community or to the company?
Yes, I agree that we will all have to wait to see how it pans out. One thing that I had noticed that has occurred over time, since about 2013 or so, is that the term 'manager' has become more of a generic term at Jagex since it appears that so many folks hold that title in one form or another.
It does appear though that Jagex is advertising for an individual who has experience, knowledge & the skill set necessary in order to implement the structure that the new owners of Jagex want to put in place. It appears that the term 'manager' will take on a whole new meaning.
Regarding your question about the bullet point mentioned in the job description, the:
'Measure the value creation of your team, their activities and outputs. You will be output focused and you(r) will be relentless about delivery.'
'Outputs' relate to products, services, profits, & revenues. Output focused would appear to mean in this case, that the focus would be on spotlighting the services, products that a company offers in order to grow the brand to increase revenue & profit.
The 'measure the value creation of your team, their activities & their output' would appear to mean that team members will be subject to performance evaluations in accordance with the corporate standards.
Ironically, 'outputs' typically would include directing users through the use of social media platforms to the companies website. As I mentioned previously, currently it appears that the 'company Jagex' is directing customers to the website. However, those efforts tend to be negated because it appears that the company representatives are directing customers away from it.
Directing customers away from the companies website is counterproductive to brand growth in terms of revenue & profit.
Outlined in the 'Duties & Responsibilities' bullet point above the one you mentioned says:
* Create inbound campaigns that have huge impact, and join up with all other channels, outboard marketing, paid, owned and earned.
Utilization of inbound marketing campaigns only work if the companies website, which can be viewed as the companies POS (point of sale) for its products & services contains the information that is mentioned inbound marketing campaigns too. There is no getting around that fact no matter how hard anyone tries to justify or rationalize not putting any effort into keeping the companies website updated or giving it the due diligence it deserves.
If the companies website isn't given its due diligence & the customers are being directed to off site platforms by the companies representative to find basic information or updates about the companies products & services then that tends to make the company appear indolent in its efforts to keep its own website current. It also tends to showcase that leadership is lacking within the lower tiers.
It is pretty obvious why the new owners of Jagex are putting a solid organization structure in place.
We can only hope that that this becomes the new norm...
Commentary
My bad, but when I follow an 'official' company twitter feed I would like the topic to be related to the company rather than learn that an employee of the company was too toasted to remember that they took a selfie or about an employees progress on a competitors game or et cetera...
I was suprised to see that 'who ever', decided to tweet this out on the Official Runescape Twitter account decided it was ok to include comments posted to the Reddit thread that included one comment that said 'Absolutely fuc*ing bodied' within the tweet too.

As he's the only mod to have inboxed me to discuss something I've posted on the forums I'll stick up for him
was when he was still in CM
Oh, he seemed to have no trouble tweeting the heck out of my bf in the middle of his mental breakdown in May.
I get mad at Jagex & tell 'em to remove Silverhawk Boots, and I get forum banned.
My bf gets mad at Jagex, cusses them out on Twitter...and gets written into a quest.
Maybe Mod Noob Hair & my bf should just go date each other.
