Hey there,

It seems most of your suggestion has been addressed by others and I agree with their feedback. One part in particular I'd like to comment on is this: Ownage Omg said :
1) It is a symbol of trust and gives credibility to player mods who post on the forums.
I don't believe the opinion of a player moderator should be valued any higher than that of any other user posting on the forums. As it stands, there are often questions posted by users who will put in the thread title "Need help from a Mod" and, even after receiving stellar advice from players, will still post a comment like "I'd still like a mod to confirm..."

All volunteer moderators are players first, moderators second. Even if we go with the idea that moderators generally know what they're talking about when they offer advice, they are still not always 100% correct - this is not to say they're not correct most of the time, but nobody is perfect, right? There are definitely players who know what they're talking about when they offer advice - some know just as much, if not more than whichever moderator might happen upon the thread.

The identifiers should be saved for the platform (game or forums) in which the user has access to the relevant community tools. As was pointed out previously, there are certainly people who are both player and forum moderators at the same time and that's perfectly fine as they will have the correct identification matching their knowledge of both platforms.

My main reason is just the issue surrounding trust and trustworthy sources. This might sound ridiculous but it opens up whole new markets such as name trading and swapping as p mods can middle man the trades. :)

Basically what I implied here is that p mods are supposed to be helpful players who encourage players to follow the rules. A lot of people come to the forums seeking help from these p mods. Atm you're not allowed to even mention it if you are one so why not just make it official and give p mods the opportunity to actively find people who require their help.

Except no Player Moderator should ever engage in such conduct. The risk for unwittingly aiding real-world traders is immense, and even when that is not the case, you have no way of confirming either party held up their end of the deal (e.g. when trading names). I appreciate the general notion of establishing trustworthy voices, though, honestly, it should be possible to find those already.

There are already 32 FMods present for The RSOF ... and a handful (5) LMods on top of that ... do we need to be added a few hundred PMods as well to look more trustworthy towards The RuneScape Community?

This does the opposite ... using The RSOF as a 'Moderator Stronghold' (sorry JMods but I even left you out of this sum) is a totally absurd suggestion giving the wrong kind of message to other online gaming communities/companies.
It would look-alike Jagex had lost their minds going into permanent insanity.
