anyone know when the next time fmr will be reviewed?
Hopefully soon. We are now pushing toward two months since the last time Mod Kari posted, but I hope she reviews it as soon as she is able to.

Yet another reason why it's gotta go: Only one person is allowed to maintain it?
I swear FMR is meant for more serious incidents than whats posted on there, FMR is probably flooded with snowflakes opinions about their threads getting locked or their comments hidden. 99.99% thread locks and hidden comments are justified by the rules. the JMod is probably overwhelmed by the amount of useless complaints in there
Shaka, when the walls fell
I wouldn't consider the amount of review requests on FMR to be 'overwhelming'.
The last response was 10th March. There's been about 59 review requests since then - an average of about 8 per week over the 7 weeks period.
I don't consider it unreasonable for a JMod to receive about 8 requests in a week. How much time out of their working week can 8 reviews take?
It only becomes overwhelming when this task is consistently ignored and the JMod permits the reviews to pile up as they are now.
This task is not a scheduled one. It is done 'when they have the time' - only they never seem to have the time. This despite the fact it is their own Official Forums upon which they offer the facility of Moderation Review. If they are offering this service it behooves them to actually
give
the service.
Nothing will change for the better, however, since Jagex have washed their hands of the RSOF and everything (pretty much) to do with it. I'm only surprised that they haven't gone the whole nine yards and put it out of it's misery once and for all.
Think the issue is the same if they use the ticket/inbox system.
No one is replying to stuff at the other end.
Think you'd just have a spam problem if they opened up some ticket system, instead of forum posts.
Just look at the community home section and 5 pages back, its just spam posts on 2013ish topics. People would just spam the help system if they used tickets.
All the report mod stuff should be done privately like every other website under the sun. Being able to report their posts anoymously and all that. But the purple mods still being purple after years I get the drill with website updates...
I agree, I don't think it's particularly the jagex staffs' fault however I don't know what their day entails, I would like to think it's down to their workload and that they have many other jobs and the forums are just nearer the bottom of their priority list. I think raising a ticket for issues would be on the money, but it might see an increase in people abusing it and tacking the michael.
Because it's frowned upon to disagree with an Fmods decision in public, there's no other way than to submit a FMR, and as you say after 4-6 weeks, it's a bit late and besides the point, or allow CMs to do FMR with some additional 'training', whether this be more Jagex focused or rule orientated.

This had always been the plan when we were hired on, that FMR was to be one of our daily duties, but of course it hinges on us getting JMod accounts in order to do that. So sadly, our hands are tied on this one.

As much was to be expected! It's one of those great ideas that never quite develops from concept to reality. I think it's fantastic you guys contribute around the forum and join in, once upon a time even the Fmods were just seen as 'enforcers' and didn't post much which was quite sad as they were picked because of their ability to join in.
