CalmEnigma, absolutely loving the idea and loved the setting of your thread, that way you never run out of reserves. What do you say to removing categories or possibly changing them? I am not sure categories are needed, alternatively we could use the front page as a large contents page, linking the suggestions with their own individual posts for pros and cons and suggested.

What do you think?

Sorry typing on my iPad and can't really do all the forum work right now for it, but wanted your opinion :)

I think you should leave the categories... It doesn't make sense to discard them.

Mhm I agree with Cyanide...

The categories look great tbh, they make navigating the thread and finding the ideas you're interested in much easier. Without the categories it would be easy for one to get lost among the long list of ideas that this will probably become... I have a similar thread on the CLF and in some sections I've even had to add sub-categories to the categories to break up the list into useful components and make things clearer :P

Anyhoo, linking the categories in the contents and then linking the idea discussion in the categories seems like the most organised way of doing things imo :) Up to you though :)

I will certainly incorporate your suggestion Calm Enigma, it seems like it will surely work, and it means that we will never need a set amount of posts too, room to expand in the future.

I wasn't thinking of removing the categories at all, merely rename them or change the categories currently present. What are your views on that?

Ah sorry, I must have misread your post then =/

The categories seem fine to me, to be honest... If needed there's always space to add more later on. What did you have in mind exactly?

Maybe have categories to do with areas and parts of the website such as..

Navigation
Account
Hiscores and Adventurer's Log
News Information
Transactions
Security
Downloadable Files
Miscellaneous

What do you think of these?

Sookie,

Haha that is no problem at all, glad to help. If you click "Quote" on the top right part of a post you will have the post appear for example your post:

Sookie Lala said :
How do you link to specific posts?

Sorry for posting offtopic but that's a useful trick.

Appears like this in the text box: (add in the square brackets)

quote id=278-279-700-65157190-88-328429719 How do you link to specific posts?

Sorry for posting.......

If you then want to direct someone to that specific post, you highlight the text you want to be the link and select the option (QFC). in the square brackets where it says qfc id=, type the code given when quoting that post which is 278-279-700-65157190-88-328429719 in this case (inside the brackets) then you will have your link :)

I hope this helped, if not I shall send you on your way to a rather helpful post here .
