@Misti - I think using just those categories makes the contents a bit too vague... Perhaps if you mix up the two you could bring out both the benefits?
The result I have in mind would look something like what I typed up below:

It's a bit rough and a bit too long but hopefully you get an idea of what I mean :P

All the orange sections have their own post and are linked to it. So each of the 'Main Website' section topics would have its own post, and all the topics under 'Transactions' would be in one post.

The latter should not cause space problems if links to the discussion posts are used and also because I get the impression they would become the 'less trafficked' areas of the WIT. I may be wrong though ofc =S

There should also hopefully be enough reserves on each page to take care of overflow, just in case... -

Hi Mistii,
you asked to to give my thoughts on the categories. On the whole, I think it's wise to reduce the categories as you suggest, bearing in mind the comparatively low amount of traffic with suggestions on certain topics. If you find that you're getting a lot of suggestions of one type in the 'Miscellaneous' section later, you can always add another category at that stage and move those over.

One possible category to add, might be the Wiki? Or maybe keep those in miscellaneous as Calm suggests, then see how many ideas relating to the Wiki are brought here first?

Transactions, I'm not convinced there'd be a huge number of suggestions relating to that, so maybe keep those in miscellaneous until there are, rather than have a separate category at this stage?

News Information: I'm not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean if something on the News items on the main page isn't right or something? Mind you, you probably don't, since that's more 'quick fixes' probably. Um, I'll shut up and let you explain, lol.

Adding Calm's 'In game related areas' I think might be a good idea too. Yeh, and maybe keep that general 'community' section he suggests, and include your highscores one in there?

I'm starting to muddle myself now, the possibilities are endless! Lol
But generally, yeh, I think it would be good to pare it down a bit, fewer categories that can cover more areas in each one. AKA: Arbr**** Vie

I think what I will do is try to incorporate both of these ideas, well the best I can! :P I think some of these categories are certainly needed and these will include:

Main Website / General Suggestions
New Improvement Ideas
Account Info and Security
Community
Rules and Reports
Media
Runescape W*ki

Within these I would have subcategories, however these would not be linked in the main Table of Contents, they would purely be in the categories individual table of contents.

Rather than use up the reserved posts, I will use these up first obviously, I will be giving each idea / suggestion its own posts with all of the pros and cons notes, linked in the category's individual table of contents. This will mean that on page 154 post 7, it can still be a formal post linked and useful.

What do you guys think of this? :) ....

The thing is too Mistii, you can always shift categories around later as you feel the need anyway and that's probably easier to do when you're linking to posts that are elsewhere because you won't need to do a lot of copy/pasting to move things around. AKA: Arbr**** Vie
