I just want to take this post to apologise. I have been battling with a few issues IRL (health stuff, nothing to worry about) but I am jumping straight back on the forums now to carry on replying to those suggestions and getting all those directories in order! Sorry for the wait or inconvenience.
[[This will probably be posted on a few threads hehe]]
I could try and lend a hand with this thread as a volunteer if you like Misti
I assume this will work similarly to the FIT, where the thread helpers have a best of three vote on an idea to decide whether it is to be included in the supported list of ideas and the not supported list.
If the system isn't set in stone yet, though, I'd like to make one suggestion. The one point I don't like about the FIT is that whether an idea is good or not is left in the hands of 3 forumers. Don't get me wrong, all three are trustworthy, intelligent people and generally cover most sides of the argument I can think of. However, it is always possible that they have valued one side incorrectly or have not noticed of a further benefit/fault of the idea...
What I suggest is to list all the ideas brought up on this thread [with exception to troll posts ofc
] in their relevant section. The pros and cons that have been brought up in the discussion of each idea should then be added beneath the idea's title. So in essence, the volunteers would just be forumers whom to entrust to check out this thread often and post their views on the issues at hand [like in the FIT] but there would be
no need to vote
on whether an idea should be supported or not by the OP... If a JMod chanced by an idea on this thread, he/she would be given the pros and cons that had been thought up for it, which in essence is what they're after, no?
One problem that may arise is the lack of reserves because you'll be adding in much more text relating to the discussion. There is a way to counter this which doesn't require more reserves to be made or your current posts to be edited...
Instead of taking up more space to explain, just follow
this link
to see what I mean
In essence, you make a new post for each new idea and link the post into the relevant section at the beginning of your thread...
Anyhoo, I hope I haven't been too bold or rambled on too much =S
