Also, how is it inconvenient? You literally have 2k characters to get your point across so i fail to see how anyone cant do that?
Like i stated some of my posts go over by 300 or so, depending on the topic i'm posting about i find it a pain regardless to create another post under it for a sentence, most times i do take shortcuts and boom everyone asks questions or my shortcuts are missing the link to the topic and a forum mod removes my post even tho it is related but it is what it is, so now i add way more words to tie it all together.
Hitting 2k isn't hard, my last post i just did was close to 4k chars. <---was all straight to the point, even did improper sentences to shorten it, if i didn't i would have burned 4,200 chars which is 2 posts and 1 sentence....And as above agree, i would settle for 3k max chars, 5k was just a random pick for those creating threads and to create artwork etc to dress up these old forums to be more appealing.
Everyone is different, just because you don't hit max 2k often, doesn't mean others don't. Thats like me saying people can stop driving cars since i can walk to work, some drive X minutes away, would be a long few days to get to work walking for many
^And i like to compare issues to other issues that share the same motives to prove my points like the above, which can add 1k+ chars, depending on the complexity.
