First off, they're Community Moderators, not Local Moderators.
What does it say under their name, hmmm?
Oh, that's right, it LITERALLY says "Local Moderator" under their name.
Congratulations on focussing on the trivial part of my post, rather than the substantive.
I had already addressed everything else you had posted, before you even posted it. other than the obvious incorrect statements about "they're Community Moderators", so I felt no need to reiterate what I had already addressed, and only addressed the portion that had not been addressed already.
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
CM definitely stands for Community Manager, not Community Moderator. They are Local Mods. CM is meant to refer to an extension of the Community Management team; the Jagex moderators responsible for handling the forums.
Let's bring this thread back to the topic of FMods though.
My work in this section of this post is done

Anyway, yes, there's no need for more FMods. As has been established many pages earlier within this thread, there is no mandate for additional FMods. This thread will simply become an arena of just talking about the current state of affairs on these forums. Literally not much point in having this thread. Just allows for more trolling by backseat mods and then people saying "we need to hand out the FMod badge because other people "deserve" it", rather than the forums genuinely needing FMods.
The whole thread is a trivial issue tbh LOL.

Well of course.
Its all been hashed out so many times that we all know the script off by heart as well as the very obvious biases of all those involved.
But then again, its usually quite lulzy and the whole "WBM trying to gate-keep reality itself" is a nice touch.

Well, there's no need/reason to conduct an inactivity sweep, the current team remains in tact/place and newer additions will be made upon the demands I did put forward.
I think it is time that we put an end to the bickering that always comes back, predating a decade and more ago, and involves the same people.
Please do step away, your criticism is noted and not dismissed, yet we can't continue the same bickering over & over until the end of times.
Change is of the essence, not digging ourselves in.

By which I mean..
- Encourage Jagex staff to use the official forums in addition to Twitter/Reddit
- Release exclusive information on the forums to encourage their use
- Promote use of the forums more widely
When that is done, and forum user numbers are back to where they used to be, it will be time to consider recruiting more FMods - and the pool from which they can be drawn will also be larger.
I was happy to see a positive touch and I do agree with you this could be a fruitful course of action.
However recruiting more forumers first we need a little more help from skilled people that know how to get The RuneScape Community moving towards The RSOF once again.
What I do know is that for many years players have been complaining that it is hard to have proper lengthy discussions in The RSOF about topics.
And of course the face of Jagex/JMods have always been mentioned more then once.
I'll going to read the last pages over again as I did the past days and will come back later.

Hmm. If thats where you are coming from - I'm all in favour of that kind of thing.
Anyway I shall see how this thread progresses.
Still dont like the 'you can apply to be an FMod' thing though
So I think this thread has run a good course, but unfortunately we're not currently looking to recruit new F-Mods.
If this changes I'll set up a similar thread myself to invite discussion about what that process could look like. Until then however this conversation will continue to circle and without action, it'll only cause dissatisfaction. For that reason I will be locking it now.
