the upshot of this and the OP pint is they have a HOME NEWS PAGE but rarely use it, same as these forums.
I too get fed up of hearing "well it was on here there or elsewhere" when it should always be posted where people would sensibly go the Official Page

As it has been stated before, various homes post on different platforms and the end result can be confusing with different interpretations.

Take the recent and moving log in lock out, stuff all over Twitter and discord before they even thought to post anything in the support of technical sections of their own page!

At least if it was posted here it would in some sort of chronological order and not the morass of sprawling and pinned tweets. Have a look its messier than my bank.
I know what I want to do, but can rarely achieve it

Again, no matter how many times you said such meaningless messages are important to you and perhaps a handful of players, FACTS show that the community, especially the OSRS subreddit community doesn't think such Jmod messages are important at all. Please read Loki's post I quoted.

Note that one person (e.g. you) say the same "it is very important" 9000 times doesn't make it important to the other 9000 users on reddit et al.
If these bits of news are not important, then why does Loki create his thread every week? Why do the Jmods post these bits of news in the first place? There's clearly a market for them, and that market is on RS, not OS.

He is a voluntary helper. Voluntary helpers typically try to help out in ways the company doesn't think they need to do. You can do that too or I actually ocassionally deliver such messages too but it doesn't mean Jagex think it is important for us to help out voluntarily. :)

Again x 9000!!! Not every Jmod post such unnecessary "system messages" every time. In your specific situation, a specific Jmod may just be visiting Reddit or Twitter and gave us a "BTW message". That's why we don't see this kind of BTW messages consistently before every system update in every social media.

Let me remind everybody who really tries to help the RSOF users to get news Jagex (both RS3 and OSRS and maybe their other games in the future) posted on social media too. We don't have to wait for Jagex to do anything.

From time to time, I will be posting OSRS news that Jagex didn't post on the OSRS forums. I have already started with their Gielinor Gazette and Mod MikeD's roadmap. Everybody please feel free to chip in your support. :)
