How much do you know about gorillas and how they act? Considering the discovery channel has been my most watched channel for over 20 years, I really doubt there's a single thing I haven't seen on it. Not to mention having photographic memory..
How much do you think the zoo keepers know? They're suppose to be extensively trained, but clearly something like this doesn't happen often and the one in question can't work under pressure.
Do you know when the gorilla was last fed? All animals are fed on a schedule, and if you've ever been to the zoo after feeding animals are just like humans. They're not as active after getting full.
Do you think the zoo keepers had an emotional attachment to the gorilla and would have preferred to have it live? Obviously not if the only thought process they had was putting a bullet in it's head.

Hate to break it to you but every single person on this thread saying "humans over animals" is using emotion. Fear and the thought that they're any better than the rest of the things on this planet.

And saying what I said is not the least bit different than them killing the gorilla, which is the whole point of saying it. You can cry about how it's fucked up all you want, taking it personally like you did just shows how ignorant and self centered you are. When you can explain how killing an animal that was entirely innocent is any different than killing a person in the same situation, then I'll listen. There are just as many fucked up people in this world as their are aggressive animals. Putting them all into one category is stupid as hell.

ooo i know this one =D ! humans are the greatest mass murdering most violent species in history who dont give a shit about anything but there individual selves, so as we are the apex predator of life its fine if we mass murder anything we want for fun right?
